Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I'm here bud, had to go to Columbia, SC for NRECA regional meetings last week for work.......but I've been lurking. Couldn't watch the Florida game, I was a wreck. Won't watch the bammer game either. I just can't watch the big ones, but I do record them to watch........as long as we win. I just get all tore up.

At least you get to skip the commercials too!

I posted yesterday. It is worth a watch. He picked on Heard bad, but also showed a move to finish the game off where Heard was a freak. I think he’s just not in shape and learning on the job like Nico. The film showed clearly they both have to be a lot better. Both highly paid. Both highly scrutinized. Both with a lot of growing to do.

I put off watching this at first since it was freaking 45 minutes, but well worth it in the end.

That pull by 53 on the long run by 6 was great to see and equally frustrating lol. If 53 can do that, why not more often?

Either out of shape or playing hurt like @Go Fight Win said.

But to be fair, there was plenty of blame to go around on the rest of the line, QB, RBs, WRs, & TEs

AND WE STILL BEAT FLORIDA

Lets hope we get at least some of those execution woes corrected for TSIO and the rest of the way. All the potential in the world is in front of us, if & once it clicks.

Idk if bluefont, but it is in Neyland. We got the huge DPI last time to save the 4th quarter run.
It was definitely a penalty. I was shocked that a clear and undeniable penalty on Bama was actually called. But it wasn't like we "got" a call. It would have been a completion were it not for the flagrant DPI. It was the correct call.
Total penalties, we had 6 for 39 yards. Alabama had 17 for 130 yards. Staggering difference. We need to keep up the tempo and pressure them into the same penalties this time.
And every single one of those Bama penalties were correctly called penalties beyond any doubt. We didn't "get" calls.

Bama did "get" a blatant and incorrect DPI no-call in their endzone which wiped out a TD for us. So Bama was guilty of every foul and still got away with key no-calls in '22.
Only once since 2008 has Alabama had more penalty yards than us inside of Neyland, despite being far more talented most of those games. HFA Zebra influence is real. Subconsciously afraid of the crowd imo 😅
If HFA advantage does not even hold in the single game where the calls overall were less bad than usual but still skewed in Bama's favor (2022), you need to drop the Bama propaganda take on '22.

The Kentucky last year where KY held our defensive the entire game with zero penalties called was a home game for us. You might remember Heup being demonstrably upset about it. The same pattern held all year at home and away.

Do you not remember the game-changing bad spots and the ridiculously bad TD by TB called back at home against Ole Piss in 2021?

Above all, try to grasp the elementary fact that the stats do NOT accurately tell the story. They don't tally no-calls or bad calls.

Well at least the the owner of the Oilers changed the last name to Titans when they moved.

Someone need to tell Memphis there isn't any Grizzlies in that part of the World.
Iirc Memphis used to be the Sacramento Grizzlies? Grizzly bear is on the California flag

Heupel needs to take the training wheels off the offense this week. Be more creative. Let Nico run early. Move the chains and take deep shots. Bama has let up many deep shots this season to multiple teams. Time to take advantage. Heard needs to wake TF up as does John.
