Recruiting Football Talk VIII

To me and 11-1 ND needs to get left out. That schedule is slaw and that loss is really bad

I put UGA in because they have 2 good losses and the best win of the bunch.
Couple things. First, a 12-0 Nuter Lame needs left out because they snack on monkey private parts and God hates them.
Second there is no such things as good loss. A loss is always bad. Having your head chopped off is never good, there's no such thing as a good beheading.

They won't though. Especially with a win over a top SEC team. Navy and Army both being ranked also helps them a ton (assuming they handle Army as well as they did Navy).

Also...I think their schedule looks better than Indiana as a 11-1 at large (assuming they lose to Ohio State) or even Penn State at 11-1 (also assuming they lose to Ohio State).
Don't disagree...... I would leave any B10 team outside of the 2 conference champ game teams out. Those schedules are putrid.

Maybe we can retire attention whore Dick Bombs soon.

As much as I 'dislike' Bob, he is a VFL through and through. Part of old Dick Broadcasting group, not ironically. Has gone about it with class, and dignity.

If he does retire, and I do hope he does. For his sake, everyone should have that chance. I hope HE gets full credit and attention for breaking news. Dickbombs should retire.
Bob is a good guy with a ton of class, and I would agree on his VFL status. However, he's a former TV guy that's always called games more like he's neutral and that the audience can see the action. This fanbase deserves a radio guy who's an all out homer like all the other SEC teams have that can also give the listeners enough details to actually know what's happening during a game. Hopefully he retires from the radio booth soon but keeps doing some of the TV stuff...he's good in that arena.

So we thinking Banks gonna jump ship for a HC gig? Who y’all got as a possible, realistic replacement if that goes down?
With the changed metrics of CFB the old pathway is not nearly as certain. It is not just as simple as taking any HC job and working your way up. And most top coordinators would take a paycut to go to Directional U.

It's weird how people are debating playoff scenarios with a little less than HALF the season left. It's almost like people forgot a few weeks ago when half the top ten lost. A bunch of teams nobody expects will win or lose down the stretch. That's why it's dumb to argue or debate right now about whether 10-2 gets you in.

While we're on the topic of Mookie....is he a VFL? I sometimes refer to him as "Vol Legend Mookie Betts" kinda tongue in cheek. Wondered what others thought. Easy player to associate with UT.
Even though I'm a lifelong Dodgers fan and huge Mookie fan, I'm not so sure we can call him a VFL. Not only did he never actually play at Tennessee (went pro instead), he was a Vandy fan and wanted to play there but didn't think he'd get enough playing time because of the roster they had at the time and committed to Tennessee instead.

It's nice to claim the connection to Mookie but I'm not sure we could call him a VFL.
