Recruiting Football Talk VIII

When Thornton got moved from the slot receiver, he seemed to be doing better in the offense.
He finally scored a touchdown and actually fought for a ball in the air. Doubt where he lined up had anything to do with it. Maybe just maybe he start adapting to SEC physicality. Watch Rome Odunze eat out the slot this season, despite outside being his natural position. When a lion is hungry, he eats.

The guy had like 17 catches on the season, what’s better?
I'd say most of those catches was when he moved to the outside for a couple of games. The play he caught a TD against Missouri on was a highlight reel catch that put him out for the season. You being a former WR, I would think could have seen the improvement when he was moved to the outside.

You can doubt position had something to do with it all you want. But he improved once going to the outside. So actual production trumps your opinion. And what Odunze does or doesn’t do in the NFL is irrelevant. If you don’t think playing in your right position in the field matters then you are sadly mistaken.

Like the Swamp Rat a lot. I enjoy picking his brain and talking about all UT sports every time I get to see him. Great guy too.
My Pawpaw played with him back in the day so I've gotten to meet him. Real funny cool ol fella. I remember he gave me a bunch of Vol shirts when I was a kid.

I have a friend who has had four failed marriages. They have all ended in a messy divorce. He is currently engaged to another lady and is planning on marrying her. He has decided that he is not going to let her know about the previous four marriages so as not to bring any negative energy. I think it is very wise that he has decided to please the fifth.

Agree. Milton had the Talent, but could not process fast enough. This is the major difference between HH and Milton. HH saw the play before it happened and knew his options. Milton's let the play develop and then let loose. Processing Speed.
This will age me but here goes, the great Johnny Unitas told a story about his short coaching career.
He told about chewing out a quarterback for not throwing to a receiver on a play they had called. It was the third option but he was wide open. The young QB reply “I never saw him or even thought about him”
Unitas said “that’s when I realized you can’t coach football IQ”
Joe was solid on option 1 pretty good on option 2 and never saw option 3.
HH could hopefully Nico is too.

This has to be a trick. The only reason you would bring something this bad here is to try and con us into asking for a return to your previous bad jokes because this one is just so much worse! 😂

There was a video floating around here somewhere of the 65 Rose Bonnet game. I watched as much as I could before the coverage got to be too hard to watch. He is a great guy though

Probably more of they have better ways to waste time then dealing with people on a message board situation…
Is it really “dealing” with anyone though? If they bother you (not YOU) that much, just ignore them and enjoy conversation with you reasonable fellow Vol fans
