You haven't heard? We have a 73.9% chance of making the playoff.I think anyone trying to figure out if we get in with two losses or not, at this point, it's throwing stuff against the wall. No possible way to know because there are still so many games to be played.
Yeah, it will be the same situation as Nico transferring out when he sat behind Joe last year. I mean he is playing behind a potential Heisman candidate. Coaches do not unjustifiably withhold playing time from players who increase their chances of winning. There's always a reason a player is not playing such as injury, performance, etc. And as far as transferring out, most of the time it happens for one of two reasons. One, he sees the handwriting on the wall or the coaches tell him, he can't cut it. Two, he's playing so good he is able to go to a more prestigious university and better competition. I don't think Seldon fits either of those.Do we think Cam is transferring?
What? In what scenario do you see us being left out after beating Alabama and Georgia? While I believe that there is an element manipulation it is not utter insanity. Are you dumb? Alabama is literally the only thing keeping our playoff hopes alive. We need them to win out. Because we hold the tie-breaker over them they have no chance to pass us in the standings for the SEC Championship Game. LSU however could easily pass us. And if they beat Alabama they're not easily losing to Florida or Vandy.
Put all the typical "I want my rivals to lose chatter aside" it is 100% in our best interest that UGA win before facing us. Our best win is a 2 loss Bama. We have 0 dominant wins against SEC foes. Most importantly we already have a very bad reputation about playing quality opponents on the road.Question:
Would you rather Ole Miss beat UGA this weekend and then play us with 2 losses and probably ranked 7th or 8th (behind us) or would you rather we play a UGA team that beats Ole Miss and stays ranked at No. 2?
These people (commentators) live and die by hitting on an occasional controversial takes and hoping everyone forgets their many misses.I like Josh Pate usually but this is ridiculous. Just last week he had Clemson 5th in his power ratings. He was waxing poetically about how they were coming on for a potential playoff run. He also all but guaranteed they would beat Louisville based on them coming off a bye and Louisville playing 7 straight games. And now he says they're essentially done as an elite program. Seriously?
I don't disagree with his ultimate conclusion but why hype them up for weeks now. I found it hilarious the media was crowning Clemson the last month or so because they've been beating up on bad teams. They only teams above. 500 they've faced this year are Georgia and Louisville and both teams dog walked them. Josh Pate should have never bought into them.
