Recruiting Football Talk VIII

If Tampa can score here they have to go for 2 and the win. Need to try to waste as much time as they can tho.

We can agree to disagree. Not sure how someone can say they deserved to be ahead of us. Hypotheticals are silly, I only focus on facts.

Here are the facts, we beat them and also beat the team that beat them by 27 on the road. Both teams finished 10-2 and we won the head-to-head but they were better than us lol. Make it make sense.

Just this season, Kentucky beat Ole Miss on the road yet lost at home by 25 points to South Carolina. Ole Miss then beat South Carolina on the road by 24 points.

Using the transitive property in sports is dumb. Eye test is the most accurate. And eventhough we beat Alabama in 2022 they were the better team. To stay ahead of a team that is better than you, your resume needs to be clearly better. After we got destroyed by South Carolina our resume was no longer clearly better thus the better team gets the benefit of the doubt.

If you don't want Bama to get the benefit of the doubt then start winning national titles every other year like they did these past 2 decades.

Your example would make sense if we lost to LSU. Since we beat both teams your example is useless. Not sure why you even brought that up lol. That's an Apple to Pickles reference and doesn't represent what happened in 2022.

Speaking of resume, here some more from that 2022 team. Lead the country in PPG and Total Offense. Had the SEC player of the year and Biletnikoff award winning WR along with a top 3 SEC OLine and a top 40 scoring defense. You are entitled to your opinion but it has to be more than us losing to USCjr to back up your claim that the 2022 Bama team was better than the 2022 UT team.

Lastly, your final statement just proves what many of us was referencing with how the committee is bias to Bama thus why they would rank them ahead of us in 2022. Which was the whole point of the debate to begin with. With your logic, I assume you think the 2024 Bama is better than this 2024 UT team too right?

No. We're clearly better this year. Now if we go out and lose by 30 to Vandy then I'll retract that statement. But that's something great teams don't do. They don't get blown out. In 2022 we were fool's gold. A cute offense that put up points but when we got into a street fight with Georgia we were exposed. This year we're different. We're actually built like Georgia and Alabama used to be. We're a tough physical gritty team. It's why if we lose it'll be by one possession as we saw at Arkansas rather than by 30 points.

A stronger and more athletic Uros Plasvic. Brings to team what they needed last season that presence around the rim.
Granted it was Gardner Webb, but I thought backups attacked rim better, certainly follow their own shots.

There was one time, Carr I believe backpedaled after a missed 3.

Our 'big' lineup, is stiff and rigid.
