Recruiting Football Talk VIII

The first video doesn’t show the beginning of the altercation. In the second video the guy says he is going to kill a cop and refuses to leave. What do you expect them to do? They taxed him but he still resisted.

This makes me think of our fellow VolNation dad of the nashville cop. I hope you see this and that your son is well.

@butchna

I guess it's time for me to punt on the Cowboys NFL season.

Dak out for a undisclosed amount of time, Micah may sit out a few more games.

Need to start cleaning house and get ready for Belichick and Josh Daniels next season.

I love this team's grit and toughness. We're beating Georgia
Yeah!

15-1 🤠

Have to beat bulldogs one game at a time. Mississippi State should be the only focus of VN this week. Any SEC team is a dangerous foe. MSU would like nothing more than to derail our season. I will be rooting for them in the egg bowl, but not now.
I want Tennessee to show some wrinkles in all three phases of the game. Make kirby nervous. Our WRs need to be held in every play of each practice so they can be ready for the lyin cheatin dawgs.

Who should we want to win this Saturday? ole miss or uga?

Either way, I am still in

15-1 🤠

Mode!

Im not going to argue what definition of police brutality, or excessive use of force. What I witnessed in that video is inexcusable. The black cop was literally in a one person boxing match with an intoxicated individual.

The other video showed an old man being hit.

Arrest them. if you cant handle it, get another officer.

Im all about backing people in uniform. But dont give me that 'what are they supposed to do' crap? It looked like the 'hoodlums' on that day were ones in blue.
You never cease to amaze me with awful takes. It’s impressive

Well, looka here.

Edit: Additional information.

More:

---
A total of 8 arrests and 35 ejections occurred at the game, the sheriff said. That may be low for GA-FL, I can't say. 😂

---
This account seems more clear, but it may be misleading. It summarizes events from two reporters' perspective but does not include the bodycam video. I cannot find the bodycam video at the link the reporters provided.
I thought the officers were very restrained and patient. They should have beat them more. If more jackasses got the crap kicked out of them there would be less jackasses.

Shocker, cops evaluated themselves and ruled in favor of themselves. This is why even good cops are viewed badly by a lot of people. They won't call out their own bad eggs. They always back them. If any citizen had stepped in to defend those people getting assaulted by cops, they'd have been beaten themselves, arrested, and then the cops would charge them with obstruction of "justice."

Cops wonder why people hate them? If the good ones won't speak out against the bad ones, then what do they expect?
You should go to a game and get drunk and threaten people and police. Or do the same and sit next to me.

The part of 'area badass' rarely extends beyond one's own imagination. The great equalizer is one's chin.

Fortunately never been something i've had to concern myself with, I mean wgas.

Look at Buford Pusser, James Dalton, Frank Dux, John Rambo, and Steven Segal ... all bona-fide badasses.

As one badass said, 'be nice, always be nice. until its time to not be nice.' 'Then rip your opponents trachea out.' 'Finally, spin kick their flailing corpse into the County's water source.'

Your example would make sense if we lost to LSU. Since we beat both teams your example is useless. Not sure why you even brought that up lol. That's an Apple to Pickles reference and doesn't represent what happened in 2022.

Speaking of resume, here some more from that 2022 team. Lead the country in PPG and Total Offense. Had the SEC player of the year and Biletnikoff award winning WR along with a top 3 SEC OLine and a top 40 scoring defense. You are entitled to your opinion but it has to be more than us losing to USCjr to back up your claim that the 2022 Bama team was better than the 2022 UT team.

Lastly, your final statement just proves what many of us was referencing with how the committee is bias to Bama thus why they would rank them ahead of us in 2022. Which was the whole point of the debate to begin with. With your logic, I assume you think the 2024 Bama is better than this 2024 UT team too right?
Right on. Also, if part of the equation is losing your QB, then we lost him in our 30 point loss. So, it probably wouldn’t have been a 30 point loss if he plays the entire game. It was an 18 point game, and he fumbled when he got hurt. Then, we turned it over on downs the next series with Milton.

People just want to believe the committee does the right thing. But it’s just picking and choosing what criteria to use, just like the NCAAT selection committee. If there is ever a time to use head to head with equal records (and UT having better wins), it was then.

you've got to be ****ing kidding
Those people got a lot less than they deserved. If it was 20 years ago the cops would have never had to respond, the fans around the drunk azz would have beat him to a pulp. Today people think they can do anything without consequence and that is why we have all this rioting, looting, lawlessness, and other horse💩. If more of these fools got their azz whooped there would be a lot less of them. Either your daddy whips you when your young or life whips you when your grown. Whatever you reward, you get more of. Remember that Libs.

Listened to VQ PC this AM.

The marketing team had some good points.

Kudos to Nico for getting better. Where would this team be without his arm?

Dylan Sampson, we will miss him.

That secondary, hats off to Willie Mo and Tim Banks for getting out of their own ways to make this team better. And, they have.

Not a true freshman start, but all men wage their own wars and it is a fair comparison.

It's really not a fair comparison... Peyton played in a much different era of football and in a much different offense. Nico has played better over the last 6 quarters, so we can just leave it at that.

The early signing period is set to begin on December 4th, but since the commits no longer have to sign NLIs under NCAA rules, I wonder how it will work? Will they just sign financial scholarship papers?
"Signing day/period" today means absolutely nothing. It is really just a photo op for the signee. CFB has totally unrestricted free agency now. What does mean something is if players sign a binding contract. like a pro athlete. That is where we are headed.
