I know the announcers are not employees of UTAD but I trust Danny to make a good hire. I read years ago that NFL broadcasters get some kind of NFL pension $. I highly doubt Mike Keith would be willing to take the UT job. I love Wilkerson on baseball but I’d have to hear him do a football game before I’d just hand him the keys. (eg. Kesling is not bad at basketball imo). I want a good color man too. Pat Ryan brings no insight, neither did Bill Anderson. Liked Tim Priest but bless his heart (& Bob’s to some degree) they had to announce some of the crappiest performances in UT football history.

Read the article from Brent folks. Regardless how much you like our broadcast people we have been blessed with some great history and continuity.

Glad Bob is getting to hang it up when he wanted to. Just a great ambassador for the university. Had the fun privilege to play golf with him a couple of times during the early 00s when the Big Orange Caravan came to the Tri Cities. He was so gracious and told stories galore. He is a Cincinnati Reds historian as well. Best wishes Bob!

Hubbs' column on working for/with Bob for all these years has changed how I feel about Bob.
