Recruiting Football Talk VIII

That sounds so cool, especially having the snorkel trail to yourself and what a treat to snorkel for the first time there. How were the coral and fish? Any Barracuda? Early morning is when the fish and other stuff like to eat, but Barracuda are mostly just curious with snorkelers.
For reference it was the last week of May in 2019 when we went there..

The coral was beautiful...the shuttle driver that drove us over to Trunk Bay from Cruz Bay, told us that the the big hurricane that had gone through (Same one that really tore up Puerto Rico sometime in the late 20teens) had damaged the reefs all over the the VIs, and thus they were not as spectacular as they had been, but he said there was still a lot.

I was therefore kinda bummed before I even got there..but let me say, it was still so beautiful that I can't imagine what it had been like before and I loved it.

Didn't see a Barracuda...but there were thousands of beautiful little reef fish.

I can't wait to go back and do it again.

That word 'judge' is much better translated as 'condemn', because that's not our job. If anyone needs any proof of that, just note that Jesus immediately told us to make judgments about people.

So, we're told that when we can see clearly, we should make judgments about the speck in others' eyes. Then we're told to make judgments about who are dogs and pigs.

The "judging" (krínō) that we are told not to do has the underlying meaning of arresting, suing, or taking to court. We are not to hope for or take delight in the thought of others receiving the just penalty of their "faults/sins". But we are not to "ignore" their sin, and we are definitely not to refuse to make distinctions between right/wrong.

Four chapters later, Jesus called John the Baptist, basically, the greatest guy ever. This was the same John the Baptist that walked around street preaching, telling people they were a bunch of horrible sinners that deserved Hell, and warning them to repent (turn from their sins) and be baptized.
Yep...he also said just a few verses later not to cast your pearls before Swine or your bread to the dogs..and he wasn't talking about Babe and Rover, he was calling some people pigs and dogs. He therefor commanded us to have good enough judgement to know the difference.

And how is that different from our other defensive coaches except the other coaches have showed remarkable improvement in their position groups?
Because when Pruitt was here the secondary still sucked and the LB and DL play was average in comparison…did you watch the games? The secondary had a steeper hill to climb than the DL and LB room. The DB cupboard was simply bare when Heupel got here

Coach WM.could get every DB drafted in the 1st round, and people will still complain about him.

I think we've had legitimate reasons to complain since he's been here. I'm concerned about how they play here more than how many he puts in the NFL.
NFL drafts mostly on potential anyway.

There has been some improvements but still not enough imo.

We’re just now actually seeing some real talent on the roster that’s about ready to roll. Players like Tank and Hadden I feel like we got the most out of and they were developed well but had a ceiling. Outside of really Hadden though you had a bunch of guys that would be at best depth at most major SEC programs. Inability to recruit the position early on was a major issue; hang that on WM if you want but it’s been the issue. We’re just now starting to turn the corner on getting decent talent though. Players like Gibson, McCoy, Boo, etc have a much higher ceiling than we’ve had in the past.

Now do one where somebody 2 and half hours away from where you live has a camper for sale, makes an appointment with you to see the camper in 3 hours, and has your phone number...and sells it to someone else 30 minutes before you get there..and doesn't even have the decency to call and tell you.

That was infuriating.

I love that they keep highlighting throws over the middle to tight ends. I don’t think people (normies, not sickos like us) realize how much being able to throw to the middle of the field is going to open up this offense, it’s going to be nuts.

More evidence that Heupel adapts to the strength of the QB. It's pretty clear that Joe was being 'managed' and that HH was able to run more of the offense. Points-a-plenty be comin'.

Her name checks out.
kills me they keep coming back to this (and yes I would do the same in their shoes), but it doesn't matter what it looks like from this angle. The ump in straight down the third base line looking at this not standing in the dugout. Could easily have been called in an earlier inning, but almost no way it gets called to end an important game.

Bur Gaton Moore will overtake Nico cuz he is better at footballing.

No offense to Gaston. I think he is great, but I am willing to bet that he knows this is Nico's team and he is doing everything he can to help. I am grateful to have him as the #2 because I really like Merk too, but I don't want to have to lean on a true freshman as the backup in this system that requires a lot of presnap reads to operate successfully.
Guys, don't be those people who go find the lowest dregs of a group and isolate their opinions to attack because it's so easy to do. Any large group of people will have trolls or idiots voicing asinine takes; let's not stoop down to responding to them or giving them credence by constantly highlighting them. They're a vast minority who think Gaston will overtake Nico, we don't need to raise their platform.

Yeah. I don't think Joe could process all of the pre-snap reads fast enough for them to really feel comfortable unleashing the offense to the level they did with HH and will be able to with Nico. Joe was the QB they had to work with though and they made it work. I just never saw the click that was evident with HH running the huddle. Joe may do great in the NFL and I really hope he does. He just wasn't the best fit for Heup's fast paced offense. Nico on the other hand....

Well, I did it again… I went into the football forum and saw people saying that we should start Gaston Moore over Nico in game one. I have no one to blame but myself.

If the Olympic Gymnastics committee gets a hold of this, they could retroactively take our NC because Vitello didn't not challenge within the allotted 60 second time frame.

If they play well here, they will get drafted. Stop trying to find something to complain about. There were other groups that played worse. LB has left a lot to be desired. Hopefully Inge corrects that.

That and our inability to connect on the deep ball. Wasn’t all Joe, but it really limited our effectiveness.

Nico moves 15 with his eyes to open up that throwing lane. It’s a thing of beauty.

I think someone will take Moore as UDF . I think he will be a really good backup. Probably really good at reading a defense and makes really accurate throws. And dang good VFL .

Feel for both girls involved in that fiasco. I feel difficulty score should already be tallied and agreed to before they ever begin though. Submit your routine and get the difficulty approved, then if you miss any element it can be deducted but maximum score should already be determined.

Pruitt’s biggest win, at Auburn, was possible only because a wide open Aub WR dropped the winning TD pass in the last minutes. I don’t need to remind anyone of the BYU fiasco either. Tennessee had JP & Ainsley, both NFL quality DB coaches then.
