Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I’ve seen it happen to other teams and it won’t change till the whole conference comes together to complain in unison, simple as that
Me too.

I don't get it. I hate that the SEC office is 45 minutes from downtown Tuscaloosa and I'd love for it to be moved out of the state of Alabama altogether. The TSIO is a long standing rivalry but I'm satisfied those gumps still want blood for Fulmer turning them in for recruiting violations. Having a former AL team captain for a head referee in any of our games, should cause a literal red flag to go up with anyone associated with UT, auburn, LSU, ect. How it continues to happen, blows my mind.

It would be interesting if DW crashed a post-game press conference like that Big 12 AD did a few weeks ago. Was it Utah's AD after they played BYU? Crashed the post-game presser and called out the officiating. I could be alone, but I think that would be awesome to see DW do that.
I was begging for that to happen last night. 1 or 2 ADs calling out corrupt officials, is not going to cause a change. It has to be every AD of every school getting screwed over. There's too much money invested for the fans and too much time invested for the student athletes, for this to continue. Somebody's got to be "watching the counters" if you know what I mean.

This is what I was talking about yesterday. If A&M beats Texas and then a&m loses in the sec champ I think both get left out
Yes, please

that would be awesome to have aTm and especially tejas, left out of the playoffs. They need to go back to the Big12 and take Oklahoma and mizzu AND GREG SANKEY with them

Heupel’s offense is most effective when it goes fast. Last night we went fast in 1st quarter after that we slowed down. This year and last year we have been slower than his first two years and his offense at UCF. I have two theories: he trusted Hooker more than Milton and Nico or he feels like refs so dislike our fast pace that they call more penalties on us. Could be some of both
Interesting observation about our fast pace, because I’ve thought that too. However, last night the game was called fairly in 1st quarter, then things started becoming head scratching.

I just don't understand why some of our plays that worked in the past have just disappeared like a vampire at sunrise (shovel pass from early season to name one). . .

Same with some of our formations. There are formations that were tricky and worked well in '21 & '22 that have not been seen since. I don't buy that it's personnel related as those early rosters were gutted. Only difference in Golesh. I wonder why we don't still use them?
From the Iowa game last year, fake Nico QB draw pop pass to the TE. Seems like could be very effective.

I was just thinking over all officiating and not particularly last night. Refs seem to resent our offense. It makes their job tougher
