I agree. Unpopular opinion with some posters on here. It was like playing Joe all season at QB, he was focused on playing Small a bunch of reps at RB. Will see if it turns out to be the best decision overall as team chemistry was in play. But Nico and Seldon with more experience would have been a good thing for this season IMO.I wish Seldon and a few of our other dudes got more pt last year. I think it'll be 5-7 games before Seldon really gets going. Hopefully next season he'll be seasoned enough to be RB1 at the start of pre-season going into the season.
Why should he have played over Small, who avg 5 ypc and was our best pass blocker at RB?I agree. Unpopular opinion with some posters on here. Well that’s my whole conundrum. Do what my flesh wants to do, or what the Spirit leads me to do?But what if he needs an ass-whoopin' to learn his lesson and become a better person? You would be doing him a service.
@VolsDoc81TX is only 12hrs behind
This is similar to the "Doomsday Clock" being 1 minute from midnight. . .
Florida 2023 Etienne rushed for more yards than Ertz threw for. That was a front 7 loss.I’ve never liked WM, he’s a decent recruiter but can’t develop the talent or coach in game. All of our losses under Heupel have a recurring theme: the secondary did not hold up. Uscjr, Mizzou, Purdue, florida ‘21 and ‘23, our secondary folded and did not perform well at all.
1. Nico Iamaleava (Tennessee)
If you watch Nico Iamaleava for a series, it's not hard to see him turning into the next big dual-threat star in college football. Iamaleava is in a perfect setting for a quarterback to thrive in at Tennessee, which should help him transition seamlessly as the starter. Don't be surprised if he's a real contender for the Heisman in his first season as the Volunteers signal-caller.
Heisman Odds: +1400
Exactly. He was "focused" on playing the best players.Why should he have played over Small, who avg 5 ypc and was our best pass blocker at RB?
We had three of the top 10 RB's in the SEC in YPC. Who exactly was Seldon going to supplant? That is not a knock on Seldon, either. I think he is a monster in the making. I just don't see how you sit a highly productive upperclassman that has shown he can produce for a talented underclassman that is still learning the college level game. I think you are living in counter factual land.He should’ve seen more carries last year, especially in the later half of the season
Development? How many kids has Martinez put into the NFL? Ignorance is bliss.I’ve never liked WM, he’s a decent recruiter but can’t develop the talent or coach in game. Yall just be making up narratives..Florida and mizzou ran all over us last year and the offense had no consistency in either game… football is a team game and the secondary has made improvements each year is cwm perfect no but you blaming him for every loss is insane when mizzou held us to 7 points….I’ve never liked WM, he’s a decent recruiter but can’t develop the talent or coach in game.
