Recruiting Football Talk VIII

As it stands now, Miami would face SMU in the ACC title game. Imo, winner is in, loser is out. But who knows. Either: SMU would have 2 losses (ranked BYU, ranked Miami in title game) or Miami would have 2 losses (Georgia Tech, ranked SMU in title game). Seems like based on the current ranking SMU would be out (despite the better resume imo) if they lost but Miami might squeak in as a second ACC team.

Clemson only gets in the title game if Miami loses to Wake this weekend. I think even then Clemson would have to win the title to go.
This title game loser stuff is confusing. I’ve heard that the CFPO committee doesn’t want to punish conference championship games losing teams, ie Bama, OSU have been mentioned.
My question is, are we locking up 4 spots-highes rated conference champs plus 2-3-4 spots for championship game losers?
I mean there’s only 12 spots
4 plus G5 plus Notre Dame=6 plus 2-3 CCG losers=8 or 9 spots taken.
Am I missing something??
