I'm not saying starting younger players but definitely playing them in real game action when the opportunity comes. The fact we played Flowers and Tank so many snaps late in games these last 2 years with with a comfortable lead is what I'm referring to. Getting snaps to those young players speeds up development and helps players grow. The biggest safety recruit that could've played thus far was an 88 (Slaughter).
I don't expect many top-15 recruiting programs to be starting 3* safeties in year one. Again, Bama had 5* starting freshman.
I just don't see why the handrubbing over this.
You keep Dick’s name out of your mouth! He is a national treasure! He is absolutely a troll. He is absolutely not connected enough to the UF athletics department to have any clue if that's happening or not. At best he's mined the UF forums where someone is sharing that rumor.
It doesn't even make sense. "He's been informed he will be fired sometime this season." What?! No AD would ever do that, they wouldn't tell a coach they're being fired at some point this season but not sure when.

What if Brooks ends up being good? I've criticized Willie Mo plenty. I hate that our DBs rarely ever turn to look for the ball. But before we go full nuclear on Brooks, we should see if he ends up starting, and if he does, does he do a good job?As he should be. If Brooks ends up starting, then that’s a scathing indictment on Martinez’s abilities to not only identify talent but develop it. Heupel should have replaced WM this year.
Exactly. Heupel is a program builder. He has a master plan in place and will pay dividends. He's recruiting the right players that will sit and develop which is really rare in this age of unlimited transfers and nil. I think we see that strategy pay off big time this year.I like Heupel's loyalty to players that have also been loyal. I do think a coach like Spurrier would've jerked Milton out and went with Nico a lot sooner. I think both strategies have benefits, but I like Heupel's better. It should build more trust from the players and be better for the long-term of building the program.
Great, so now Pilot is balls deep.Adam Wright, the CEO of Pilot, is on 3HL. Impressive dude. Was an All-American RB at Nebraska-Omaha, and was on the Giants roster in 01, 02. A true rags to riches story. Warren Buffet once called him, Horatio Alger-squared.
If I understood correctly, Pilot is going to lead the charge on the renovations and expansion of Neyland...im assuming the South endzone renovations, and the entertainment district.
Maybe its an indictment on how good of a coach he is. Turning a walk on onto a starter. That sounds like a good coaching job to me.As he should be. If Brooks ends up starting, then that’s a scathing indictment on Martinez’s abilities to not only identify talent but develop it. Heupel should have replaced WM this year.
Looking forward to the RGW piece about Pilot converting Volunteer Landing into a mega-convenience store á la Bucee's and renaming it Flying V Boat Stop.Great, so now Pilot is balls deep.
Selling our souls. Hopefully any contract is one sided. Dont trust em, **** the Haslam stench.
No I dont like them. Yes I realize they're gone. But somehow someway I see Jim dicking us from far away.
