Not even close to the same situation. Mayfield was already a good QB at TT. Yes he got better under Riley but there was also a massive talent upgrade around him. Also, it didn’t take Riley 4 years to turn him into a starter now did it? Mayfield walked in and immediately started.Maybe its an indictment on how good of a coach he is. Turning a walk on onto a starter. That sounds like a good coaching job to me.
Is Lincoln Riley a bad scout of talent and coach when he had walk on Baker Mayfield starting for him?
No I don't think they should have started, but I do think they should have played more for sure. We'll see how it goes this year. And I hope Boo gets a shot but I'm hearing Harrison will be at the star but we'll see. Nobody will know for sure until each kickoff, but it's cool to say what we think.I don't think the staff has an issue starting younger players. I think the issue is for some staff members playing younger players in a true rotation OR when snaps are available during blowouts. None of the young players you mentioned should have/had started as freshman. Boo will be the exception this year and I think will play more snaps at STAR than any of player on the team.
We have to do a better job of giving younger players run when there is an opportunity to do so. Tank playing all those snaps last year when the game was decided in the early 3rd quarter was frustrating.
thats rough. regardless of fame, if kids are involved wives should be taken care of (provided she didnt murder someone with a meat cleaver. or deflate footballs).Tom Brady's wife filed for divorce and asked for half of Tom's belongings. Court said tough ****, everything Tom owns is in his Mother's name.

That said. i'm glad Peyton is the Goat, and not a complete and total doucher.
