Recruiting Football Talk VIII

How many trash calls have we lost because of over the years, and now this meaningless one on Bama stokes the flames?

May the Shula 2.0 era last for decades
I was thinking about this very thing today. We've gotten quite a few end of game defining calls that cost us games. This is a singular bad call (albeit, really bad and not up for debate) that didn't impact the end of the game, but it happened to Bama, so now everyone is crying for something to be done about it.

Cluster headaches?
Wife has some paralysis following severe spinal stenosis and I come from a long line of dementia sufferers. Research is spotty due to the sensitivity of the subject matter, but there is some evidence that both could benefit. Reading now, but I'm holding out hope that it will eventually be an option.

Tripping balls is way down the list.

Go 4-0 and you’re national champs.
5–0 but yeah, the Arkansas loss? It doesn’t matter. Loss in Athens? Don’t matter…and we don’t have to worry about other teams now. Just win baby

I don’t think there’s a team we can’t beat if we play our best ball. We’re two good quarters away from being undefeated.

We CAN do this

I remember watching a documentary more than a decade ago regarding cluster headaches and a study out of Arizona I think that found some real benefits in reduction and severity.

It was just a shot in the dark!

Never thought about this

People forget. Credit card companies, are not the bank. Handle your finances. You sign an agreement when you accept credit card T's and C's. It's economics at its most basic form. If you dont have it, dont spend it.

Credit card companies are pretty clear, we are in it for profit.

You go swim in the ocean. You may meet a shark. You can either swim, or not. It's a choice.

2-3 days. Would need to build a basecamp up off the ground. Will need water, and a way to boil it.

Machete with slide out flintlock.

Get those things, and game on. Maybe 2 weeks if no real long sustained rain. Get trench foot and its game over.
I'd want to take one of those rambo knives that were popular in the 80s. Would that count as one item, since it's a survival kit? I wonder how hard it would be to keep a fire going, or even starting a fire?

I think I could survive a few weeks if I could manage to find freshwater, build a secure camp site and keep a fire going. I'm probably underestimating how hard it would be to hunt food.

I'm not sure how long it would take until a panther got me or some random disease or infection would take me out. . . my luck, I'd be caught by a tribe of cannibals in about 5 minutes.

I bet he was also persuaded into throwing a flag by the OU sideline. Another hallmark of a bad official.
Believe by having a tight end on Williams side with an eligible receiver's number, it made Williams (who was also on the line) unable to legally catch a forward pass. No flag needed to be thrown till a William's touch of a forward pass. If the tight end was off the line in a slot or on the other side of center, then Williams on the line is legal to touch a forward pass. I volunteer coach kickers for a local high school, so my ref credentials are to be taken with a grain of salt. haha

Wouldnt worry about indigenous.

Fire would be work, burning calories.

Amazon is one of largest freshwater fisheries in world.

Would need ability to make a firebox. Carry it around a bundle, and a spark. Be able to build a shelter in a short span.

Ever go fishing in mangroves? You can feel heat radiate off the leaves. There's a reason, plants deflect the heat. Most plants in that ecosystem keep cool, and also have a waxy leaf. So water will drip away.

Food would be hard. So time and energy would be needed to catch fish.
