Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I think when the dust settles you have the following in order of seeding (not rankings):
Oregon (Big Champ)
UGA (SEC Champ)
Boise State (Whatever the hell they are in Champ)
SMU (ACC Champ)
TX
ND
TN
Penn State
OSU
Indiana
Bama (which is BS, but whatever)
ASU (Big 12 Champ)
Switch Miami with Bama and you got yourself a winner.

We want Texas to win out. They won’t be ranked behind us if they go 10-2.
I disagree. Their isn't a metric that would allow them to be ranked ahead of us if they lose tonight. We have the better wins, SOR, and SOS. Their best win would be a 7-5 Michigan team who wasn't good this year.

If you think bc of bias they would, then that's fair bc the human element part of the committee is real.

I don’t think Miami losing really helps us.

We need committee to drop OSU below us or to drop PSU below us if they lose to Oregon.

We do not want Penn State to win the B10
It helps us because they’re completely out now. If they had won and lost in the ACC championship they may have still gotten in and not sure where they’d be ranked. Now you have SMU who is ranked below us vs Clemson who will surely be outside the top 15 having to win to go to the playoff.

Unfortunately the ACC winner will get the bye unless it’s Clemson and they drop below ASU in this week’s rankings. If Clemson drops to where they should drop, then you’d have Clemson as the 12-seed and ASU as the 4 seed (assuming Clemson and ASU both win).

I think Miami & Ohio State both could fall behind us, don’t think either falls outside playoffs though.

Question is if Oregon boat races Penn State how far will they fall?
