I'm just curious how the committee ranks teams this week, and what effect championship weekend has on the final rankings before the playoffs. I feel like Bama shouldn't make it, but I also feel like the committee will find a way to let them in.

10000% couldn’t have worked out much better tbh. Thankful that loss didn’t prevent us from getting in like I thought it would when it happened. Gutsy team!

This is my guess at seeding, not rankings. Guessing Oregon, Texas, smu, asu win their conferences. Not sure they will drop osu that far, but they should. I just wish we could move up to #6. But I don’t see how we could pass anyone. We’re probably more likely to be 9 going to Columbus than moving up. I would rather play them in Knoxville though. I’m guessing they will put in a 3 loss team over Miami but who knows.

For the case of politics, having Ohio St at 9 and Tennessee at 8 would mean there would be 2 playoff games in SEC Country and two playoff games in the Midwest. More reasonable.

See...I still think Bama needs a lot to happen to jump them above a 1 or 2 loss team.

That said... We really don't know what they do with the big 10 or acc loser, assuming it works out to be SMU and PSU. I think PSU is in no matter what but not at 5. SMU could get bounced.

So do you keep Miami? And bump them up because they didn't lose? Or does Clemson take their spot?
