Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Kid has regressed every season at UK

Squirrel has put up similar numbers with that shoulder.

No thanks

Well he has played for KY and their offense is terrible in general but especially with their QB play this year so hard to put much blame on him. However, I seriously question the judgement of any WR choosing to play there....unless they secretly want to play QB.

But I would rather have Key anyway. The traits needed to be a good slot receiver in Heupel's offense aren't particularly rare. You fast? Can you catch the ball when you're wide open on a vertical route? OK, suit up.

Kinda surprising we have not followed up Hyatt winning the Biletnikoff award with better recruiting and play at that position.

Would've won a National Championship in 1985 if not for Georgetown. St,Johns lost to the Hoyas 4 times that year, only losses they had I believe.
Looked it up!

They lost to G-Town 3 times and to NIAGARA, the Purple Eagles who finished 16-12 with one NBA player on their team

Good memory 52

Key progressed every year while Brown didn’t.

I agree. I’d rather have Key over this kid.

17-7 Tejas

And Tejas makes the SEC Championship. I guess it helps us that aTm isn't getting a spot. I hate conference realignment. SMU playing for the ACC, Oregon playing for the Big10, now Tejas playing for the SEC, make it make sense.

I might change my mind Tuesday but for now......

*I think a Georgia loss, guarantees us a home game. I doubt I'll even watch it next week

About time to just get rid of conference championship games

Won't happen. Too much money involved and the playoff is already set up to reward the winners with automatic bids and the week of rest to balance out the at large bids week of rest before the first round.

But damn, the losers of conference championship games get hosed. I'm looking forward to seeing the first major underdog from the Big 10 or SEC that is beat up and needs rest to show up and play walkons in a championship game. Would be hilarious 😂

They should do what basketball does and just do a regular season champion.

There’s your auto bid.

There is no bright side to that game anymore. Doesn’t matter to win that trophy. Everyone wants the big prize.

Who also wants to risk unneeded potential injuries?

Texas and Oklahoma, at least from a geographical standpoint, make sense when you compare them to the ones you mentioned. The worst, however, is the ACC taking Cal and Stanford. You’re the ATLANTIC Coast Conference and you have two schools from the Pacific. That is arguably the stupidest thing I’ve seen.

I was told the ACC stands for All Coasts Conference

Weird. If BYU wins, Iowa State is in the Big 12 CG. If BYU loses, Colorado is in the B12 CG.
