Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Multiple top 10 teams dropped 4-10 spots after losses during the season. Including road losses to ranked teams (Georgia at Ole Miss).

Ohio State loses to a horrible Michigan team at home and dropped 3 spots. The CFP committee, ran by the freaking Michigan AD, has been overvaluating wins against Michigan all season and now overvalues a loss, and they're the only entity to rank OSU over Tennessee.

Even more, the way its currently set, 2 Big 10 teams will host along with Notre Dame. Bringing massive revenue to Big 10. SEC gets 1 host site.

Vols at OSU
Indiana at UGA
Bama at Notre Dame
Az State at Penn State

Warde Manuel just said there wouldn't be
Yeah that makes no sense. So if it finishes as they currently have it, no one moves?

Penn St loses 62-10 they're staying at 5 and hosting?

That was a word salad that basically says the bracket is set? But they're gonna revaluate t after the games... What for?

In relation to each other but conference championship game participants can move. We could move up but not overtake Ohio State if Georgia for example lost and fell below both of us.
This is correct. Nothing can happen where we will move ahead of OSU.

Could easily see the committee not moving any loser. But if a major blowout or injury you could see someone dropping behind OSU or even Tennessee but we wouldn’t jump OSU for any reason. Not a data point to make that happen according to committee chair.

I feel like Penn State losing bad will drop them behind Ohio State (who beat them) so that would shift everyone else up 1 spot.

We’re 9 right now and I honestly think someone ahead of us will be sliding behind us with a loss Saturday.
Yeah I think Penn State would go to #8 and that's where we would be playing

I don't know why anyone is surprised by this.

I like your optimism but I just don’t see it. The agenda seems pretty clear to me.
