Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Nah. Reece clarified later and he said teams that aren't playing, only those playing will move
This is correct. Only teams that offer another data point will be evaluated and could move.

He also brought up TCU who lost their conference title game and stayed at 3.

If the games go chalk no one will move.

Only major blowouts, injuries or upsets could create movement.

Penn state beating Oregon would create movement but not enough for us to host.

Clemson SMU does nothing.

Texas beating UGA does nothing. UGA beating Texas would move UGA up and Texas down a little but not behind OSU or us. Likely UGA and Texas would just switch.

Arizona Iowa State doesn’t matter.

If Texas and Oregon win this is how seeds 5 to 7 will look. 5- Norte Dame 6- Ohio St
7- UGA. 8 and 9 will be between Tennessee and Penn St. Tennessee will have the best win and worst loss between the two. So who gets 8 🤷. IU will be 10.

Also this would avoid any 1st round rematches. Which I think the committee will try to avoid. But who knows.

Can't believe we have to go to Columbus and they put Bama in. Actually I totally believe it, and I hate it.

Don't see any scenario we move up after championship week unless Georgia or Penn State gets absolutely demolished by Texas or Oregon.

Clemson beating SMU is the only way I see Bama getting kicked out.
I blame @Enki_Amenra

Partially correct; the teams playing could move back, could move forward. In relation to the other teams not playing — Notre Dame and Ohio State — we cannot move.

I would expect Penn State to at a minimum fall behind Ohio State with a convincing loss and potentially even behind us.

He was adamant that the teams outside looking in cannot get in because there is nothing else they can do. We are close enough to the teams still playing that movement on their part could potentially shift us a spot (or two).

Jujaun Jennings was suspended after his fight during the Vandy game. I wonder how the BS 10 will respond to the fight after the Michigan game and the actions of the officers. 🤔

Alabama got blown by Oklahoma by 21 10 days ago for a third loss and they are in. There is no way they drop Georgia below us. Doesn’t matter what they lose by. Doesn’t fit their agenda. They literally have a sitting AD from Michigan leading their committee. He’s a total POS. He should run for political office.
The AD of a team mired in controversy for stealing and distributing other teams signals, should've never been on the CFP committee, much less the chairman. Of course there's not going to be any integrity shown.

I could see this. Penn state or Ohio state - I would rather get away from Oregon.

So if Clemson beats SMU(in a close game), then it isn't it possible for a 2 loss SMU to replace Bama at #11?
