The highest rated conference champs get the automatic byes.

So, Oregon, Georgia, Boise, and Arizona State are 1-4.

SMU survives and gets left in at #12.
Clemson is just above them at #11.

Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Texas, Tennessee, and Indiana are numbers 5-10 and I think these games become all about TV, match up intrigue, and not repeating a regular season game.

So, I'm gonna say it's Texas at #5 vs #12 SMU, Ohio State at #6 vs #11 Clemson, Notre Dame at #7 vs #10 Indiana, and #8 Penn State vs #9 Tennessee.

Why would Ohio State jump Notre Dame when neither played

SMU only losing by 3 is the worst thing that could’ve happened for Alabama. And I’m here for it.

There is not 1 team in the playoffs that scares me. There is really no clear cut number 1 team to me. I will put Tn D up against any of these teams as long as Banks throws away the Ga game plan. I really like our chances If Vandy Nico shows up.

Amazing, isn't it? I guess a Big 10 alum such as herself doesn't notice what everyone else notices, including the coaches and AP polls.

I feel like the 1 at round byes are pretty simple: Oregon, UGA, BSU, AZ st.

And I feel like the last 3 spots are pretty simple:
Ind
Smu
Clemson

In between... Lots of discussing needed, if the floor is open for discussion. Personally, I don't think they move a lot around if they stick to what Ward said last week. They have to drop SMU, tx and psu. I don't think you keep ND at 5. And nobody else played. So I see it like this:

I don’t care who we play. Our DL will eat vs PSu, OSU, Texas and Oregon

I hope so...going on the road against any of these teams feels like a probable loss to me...a neutral field or at home and I would feel really confident.

We just don't play well on the road against good teams...or even mediocre teams like Arky, or Florida and Mizzou last year.

I hope Heupel can flip that narrative wherever they send us in these playoffs...but I just don't feel confident. We still have a ways to go I think.

But...I really hope I'm wrong, and this team has made me wrong several times this year.

I do know this...if our players play their best...we can beat anybody anywhere anytime.

Yeah, I’d much rather go to Happy Valley than Columbus. OSU is not that great imo, but their program has a ton of playoff experience. They know how to win big games and in the postseason. Penn State….not so much.
