Agreed, although no other RB in America did either. Sampson and Geanty merit Doak Walker consideration, or whatever the flying hell it is called.

Also, Sampson had this line and had to face SEC officiating.

Doubt we pursue a LT. That's what we're paying Heard to be. With luck, Bennett Warren or Brian Grant will be our RT, with the other being a capable backup at both OT positions. Hopefully Satterwhite will be ready at center. Guard is where we need help. If we pursue an OT, that says we don't think Warren or Grant are ready.

Will be open competition between (I assume) Johnson, Warren, Perry, J. Heard, Grant, and Sanders at RT. Satterwhite has C locked down, which is why Lang portaled.

Already going at Northwestern's G transfer. Hopefully Karic comes back, otherwise Umarov, Ginther, Anderson, and the freshmen will compete for the G positions I assume.

I could also see the staff convince Sanders to rep as #2 at LT. Prepared to replace Heard should he go to the draft after next year and come in if/when he gets banged up.

The Vols have the #1 RB in the SEC. He scored 22 TD's and ran for over 1400 yards without a good O-line? On a playoff team? Yeah, OK.

The team is #8 in total O in the nation with a first year QB. They are #9 in rushing. They were mid pack at 2.17 sacks per game and #39 in TFL's given up. All of it against a schedule that included 8 SEC opponents.

None of that are signs of notable O-line issues. We can always improve performance, but that is true every year.

If this kid is as good as everyone says on here, Sanders will most definitely have a shot at starting day 1.. 5* OT don't think he wants to stand on sidelines his first year..

** he’s 5’11 and looking at who we have coming back it seems our only target above 6’3 would be Brazzell. I’d assume we would want taller receivers but Law, Matthews, White, Brazzell would help Nico out tremendously.

Considering he’s the one that punched Boo I would guess they fight first day to get rid of any tension no?

Not sure if y'all've (double contraction skills) heard about this, but it's awesome:

Cheatham Middle School has used University of Cincinnati's colors, logo, and mascot for 26 years.

About 2 weeks ago, Cincy sent the school board/district a cease and desist letter. The most absurd thing I've heard, because middle and high schools nationwide use colors, mascots, and logos of college and professional teams all the time (for example, my high school has a framed 1970's letter from Auburn stating we can use their official colors).

Today Cheatham County Schools announced they've partnered with Xavier University (Cincy's #1 rival) to use colors, logo, and mascot moving forward.

The pettiness is unmatched. Also, screw Cincy.

I’ll allow it….. Gotta give props to Xavier though. Although perhaps we are spoiled with the Tennessee’s twitter prowess.
