Yes. And the network helped cover up by never showing the film they had. And all the media by not asking for it. So, the public gets a few short bad-angle phone videos well after the initiation of the fight and a random body cap from an officer in the wrong place.Should have been players suspended from both teams for their next game. That’s the only reasonable course of action.
But of course they didn’t because it would affect their playoff and bowl games and the Big10 couldn’t have that.
I understand the school being fined for their fans rushing the field. That’s a monetary fine type of penalty.
Unless the Big10 is billing that fine to the coaches and players, it is a false penalty to avoid the correct consequence of game suspension for the melee.
