According to my analytics:
- Will Howard is the #9 QB in CFB against the blitz.
- OSU has the #2 WR unit on quick / short passing routes.
- The WR unit drops to #34 on deep routes.

Reading OSU boards, they lost to Michigan because the Wolverines were able to get pressure with just 4. OSU's receiver room is the best in the country, and they excel in the quick / short game. Obviously we need to get to the QB, but if we have to depend on the blitz to do that we're playing into exactly what they want.

They're missing their starting left tackle. They're missing their starting center.

We've got the #8 pass rushing EDGE unit, the #9 pass-rushing Interior DL unit, but only the #117 pass-rushing LB unit.

Pardon the essay, but I know we're going to see a TON of "why are we not blitzing more???" next Saturday. Given the strengths / weaknesses on these 2 rosters, the path to winning has to be to beat them with 4, and I really think we can.

And they're going to mismatch these receivers over the LBs as much as they can. Georgia was able to do that with their TEs.

It is interesting as to why all of a sudden we are losing now 3 WR's to the portal when at least one or more would be getting the opportunity to play quite a bit next season. Nimrod was fast and would get open, but remember he ran several wrong routes that almost turned into interceptions and dropped several...
You've got what, like 3-4 very good WR's now in the portal already...

We only get to see them in limited spurts but neither has really shown they can be a successful QB at this level. Who knows what they’re actually capable of tho

I actually don’t think it will be either of those. I think they will get a slight/moderate bump in recruting/fundraising/excitement level for 2-3 years, then dropping back to normal UNC football levels when the new wears off, similar to Mack.

I’m in the camp of thinking his greatest achievements wouldn’t have happened without Brady but I think he will be solid for them. He knows football and is too detail oriented for it to be a crash and burn scenario imo, but ultimately I don’t think he will be able to relate to these young guys well enough to have big success

I think I'll hit LinkedIN and apply for some jobs in my field, just so I can submit a 400 page manifesto of my requirements.

These days, they require an uploaded resume, and then they require you to type all the resume info into fields for their automated system. The least they could do is have a few folks in their org read 400 pages of crap. Fair's fair.
