Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Sloppy and lethargic. Heavy legs. Point of camp where people are tired of hitting each other and ready to move into game prep.

Lance Heard looked good getting back out there. Held his own against a good DL.

Seems like Elarbee wants Karic to take the LG job.

Merk is going to be a nice football player. Probably not here but he’s a legit power 5 starter.

Obviously has been mentioned but Donte Thornton had a nice day and got behind the DBs a few times.

Boo and Harrison both played well at Star.

Bishop is going to be a nice player for us.

Satterwhite seems to be locking into the C spot behind Mays. Hes probably too light right now to get real minutes but good sign for next year. Davis would slide over in a pinch if needed. Davis is valuable player for versatility but I worry about anyone on our OL (sans LG) going down,

Excited about both corners. McMurray will be solid too.

S needs to get figured out but we’re committed to rotating it seems.

Arion Carter is playing some really high level football right now. Think he has a shot at being our best LB in awhile.

Interesting. I wasn't impressed with Karic last year but he probably has more talent than Lampley. I was hoping Sham would take it to another gear and win that job.

I hope this is true once the season begins. Playing all 4 safeties (Dre, Brooks, Slaughter, and Thomas) would be a good look.

Henry was a Parade All-American and "Mr. Florida Football" as a running back at Frostproof Middle-Senior High School. As a senior for the Bulldogs football team, he rushed for 4,087 yards and 42 touchdowns in 14 games.
I thought it was 4,000 yards, but didn’t remember for sure. Just wild lol.

My company was just bought by a PE firm. We are hiring and growing our business. We have bought more capital equipment and are spending more on building upgrades and repairs than we have in the past 4 years under a publicly traded corporate owner.

I find it usually not good to paint any large group with too broad a brush. For every bad PE firm out there that is ruthless and cut throat and buy businesses to milk the for as much profit as they can before selling them, there are others that want to grow business and increase their value so that they make their money at the sale. Broad brush painting usually leads down a rough road.

Just saw this

Don't talk so dirty to me 🙈

I think brooks just is solid and they know can make adjustments on field if needed. Probably want to see if some of the younger more athletic guys can do the same in an actual game particularly a road game.

That's why its important to play the young guys when opportunities present themselves. Slaughter played 4 snaps last year on defense.

Me and you are in the same place, so excited about what our roster looks like now. Could you imagine a Travis Stephens in this offense, one cut and go guy. Unstoppable.
What many TN fans think: man Casey Clausen “the iceman” beat UF in the Swamp in 2001.

What ACTUALLY happened: Travis Stephens drained the Swamp.

Stephens could possible be the best RB in the nation in Heupels offense.

I want to boast my memory at 47 years of age. My gut said right about 300 and 3 per game and I was DANG close and hasn’t looked it up in over 20 years.

Now what my sisters or anyone else birthday is? Not the foggiest. And rarely do I know where my keys are
Why are you acting like 47 is old?
