Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I’m a little worried about how much motivational material we’re giving them. But also it’s amazing and maybe if there’s enough of it we’ll get in their heads.
Unless it's the players talking ****, I don't believe it will motivate the Buckeyes team that much. Head Coaches know that fans of opposing teams are trash talkers and full of ****.

Is there anybody in here that thinks Neyland wouldn’t be completely sold out by now even with ticket prices being out the roof? I mean it’s embarrassing for OSU.
We had our room in Knoxville a month in advance for the playoff game, just in case. I'll put it that way. It was sad to cancel it.

In BOT's defense, it's easy to misread "Iceman" as "Nice Man".

Casey "The Road Warrior" Clausen was no joke man. He only lost 2 road games as a QB at Tennessee. Won a bunch of em. I havent looked since Hooker put up a great season...but as of 2021 Clausen was 2nd behind Manning still in pretty much all the important stats/records. That dude maximized his talent at UT because he didnt have a cannon either...and legend has it he drank like a Sailor in port pretty much the whole time he was here and was STILL able to go out and light it up on Saturdays. I used to have his jersey when I was young. Dude was just a baller. Surprised we havent seen him coaching at a bigtime program because he started coaching HS not long after leaving UT.

We failed at nothing on defense. This narrative drives me nuts. Go back and watch this game and only watch our line when we are on defense. It is crime what the officials did. There was more molestation going on than a Diddy party.
Ole Miss succeeded in the same atmosphere, on the road.

Not saying we have to be that elite. They were the best 4-rusher DL in the country, by a large margin. But we need to be halfway there.

I do hope and believe it'll be easier vs OSU's depleted OL. But I'm not sure we should panic if it doesn't work right away. We've seen what OSU will do when you bring extra men. Michigan also set a blueprint.

I saw a report from 1 of the big sites that said only 11% of bettors had UT...but 99% of the $$$ was VOLS. That means the pros are taking UT and the points.
Tbf that's so lopsided, it's either 1 large bettor or just bad data.

11% vs 99% is too big a gap just to say it's smalltimers vs a spread out set of big money sharps. That's more of what you see is a typical 30% vs 75% or so data set.

It's HUGE money. Or just wrong. One of the two. Jmo. This is not normal.

Ole Miss was at home against UGA.

I'm confident we win that game at home.
