Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Sadly Pearce ran right past opposing QBs at least a dozen times this year. Was just running too fast, and got too far upfield. Blew right past them missing getting paws on them by inches.

He has also been the victim of more Holding that wasnt called this year than I have ever seen in my 47 years of life and fandom. Blatantly obvious, official standing right there watching from 10 feet away, terrible azz Holding. Pisses me off just thinking about it.

Example:

This is a SAFETY. Should have had 4 of them this season which has to be a record in the modern era...

This should be a positive sign for Kitselman's petition.

Why does he have an extra year? Is it because he played JUCO? I read the article but didn’t see a clear explanation. Maybe I missed it—could be my 3rd-grade reading skills at work. Or is it because he may have lost money? If that’s the case, does that mean all JUCO players get extra eligibility?

I think it was he played JUCO in 2020

Jamal might have the most God given ability/genetics of any RB we ever had. Chuck Webb probably 2nd. The list gets awful jumbled up after that because we have had SO many from Cheese to Stephens, Hayden and Stewart, Charlie Garner and Reggie Cobb. Sampson has earned himself a place on that list also...as a former 3* out of HS.

Jamal was different though. Backs that big aren't supposed to be that fast. His legs were so powerful that he flat ran over LBs and DEs....but still had breakaway speed to where he wasn't gonna be caught from behind by DBs on the long TD runs. He was the best back in the country as a freshman. Don't see that anymore.

That was a fun year to watch. I loved watching him just run right over guys.

As an aside, are any of you familiar with 3d printers? OH wants one and I think they'd be pretty cool for a lot of little projects but I know nothing about them. I do have some experience with cricut machines and printing EVA slices, gluing them together, to create a 3d print or prop but it's not the same thing as just straight printing. Any ideas on machines or where to go to get an idea of what would be a good machine to start with both hardware and software wise?
We use them here at work sometimes, but I just pay for them. I don't know how they work.
