Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Alabama and Florida on the road will be very tough. We haven’t beaten UGA in many years. That’s the 3 losses most likely.

Think Bama and Georgia might be easier wins next year than at Florida, oddly enough. Mainly because Swamp is hard to win at for us and they actually know what their returning QB can do.

How do they think we will do worse next year than we did this year. It will be Nico's second year as the starter and third in the program. If the offense is slightly better than it was this year and the defense keeps rolling, we would at least match this years win total.
UGA is home, Bama and Florida are away. My guess is that‘s the three they’re picking, but I actually think we get UGA next year. 9-3 is my floor, 11-1 with a loss to Bama or Florida (honestly I’m going Florida) is my ceiling.

This will put Florida ahead of us now. How does a 7-5 Florida out recruit a 10-2 team going to the playoffs? I think we’ve only out recruited them one year yet we’ve gone 30-8 in the last 3 years…

Simple: we’re being beaten in the NIL game, regardless of how it’s being sold to us. It’s the only thing I’ve been upset with when it comes to the current athletic department. I’m not sure what the answer is, but I’d like to see us go harder in this realm. However, we’re still making strides and improving, so I’m happy overall.

Eh, I’d rather continue doing what we are doing.

Look at A&M’s 2021 or 2022 class. They threw around MILLIONS and they have 2 kids left from that class.

I like that we don’t throw big numbers around at these kids. Let them prove it first.

We will pay the kids when they earn and deserve it, not the kids that cry.

Give me this and give him six

Heup schemes up 10+ plays like this a game...we've just been hitting on them at a 10-20% a game clip...it is so frustrating because it us not just one reason either.

Every game goes like about like this....a couple of plays are missed QB or WR reads, couple plays are just drops, couple of plays are bad throws, couple of plays are some stupid effing penalty on the OL, couple of plays it's a missed or botched blocking assignment...just on and on and on.

It's just frustrating as hell because we know that if they would just execute at a 50% clip on these plays that we would blow everybody off of the field because NOBODY is scoring on us like they were able to in 22.

I spoke to my son about what I posted last night. He said the Bambu Labs was definitely the way to go. He said that the only downside was that you had to use their proprietary filament. They add an RFID tag so the printer knows what you are printing with.

I mentioned that I told you that you need to be proficient in 3D cad to use one and he said that wasn't necessarily true. He said there are libraries where you can download projects and print them. If you want to design your own stuff.

If you want to get into 3D cad, he recommended using Fusion 360. You can use it for free unless it's commercial use. I have to pay for it. 😐
I just got into 3D printing back in July. Bambu is definitely the move. It does everything for you. You can download and print other folks models from bambu studio. I bought an A1 mini but would like to buy a bigger model as I'd like to sell prints. You don't have to use bambu filament. I've used other brands, you just have to manually enter the info. That fusion360 is EXPENSIVE lol. I have no idea how to use CAD but that's interesting about libraries. I didn't know that.

Someone smarter than me answer this. What is preventing college athletes from having unlimited eligibility? How does eligibility running out not cause some form of antitrust/legal issue? Since the players are basically employees or profiting form endorsements how can they just tell them they’re done playing after 4 years? I think Pavias case opens a can of worms.

This ain't Nick Saban's Alabama and Florida will have fired Billy Nips by then and will be trying to hold off their roster from getting an early jump on the TP.

This is why you let kids prove it on the field first before you ruin them with big NIL numbers.

They had a total of 21 players in the top 150.
16 of them transferred. 23% hit.

Anyone else wanna throw around $20mil to kids BEFORE they prove it on the field?

Nico has continued to improve throughout the season but I think Lagway may end up the better college QB. At least we get them in late November rather than swamp ass September.
