Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Ryan Day thinks wearing lipstick and a dress just means he's expressing himself.
Hey now, Dennis Rodman would kick your ass in a gown and lipstick any day of the week 😅🤣

The Russian commies really would like you. A Putinist commie/extreeeme social conservative I never took you for, but ok. Side against the West, I see you have...the drag queen mafia across the free world gonna side eye you now 😅

Holy ****. This asshat from the OSU beat made a joke about Tennessee Volunteers dying at the Alamo. He also thinks cheap hotel prices are proof that Tennessee fans are lying about the “invasion” for the game. 🤡

5hr drive ain't nothing. Heck that's pretty much to downtown Nashville from Knoxville (including traffic)

I'm so socially conservative, and respectful of others that I give them all the privacy they can handle. As in, if there is a corner with no one within 150 yards, that's too close.

in my 30's I would have given Dennis a good fight. Now, in my 40's. Ive said this many times.

I routinely get my ass handed to me by a 6 yo.

If there was a dad bod compeition. I'm getting that Cheddars gift certificate.

The commie thing is old.

This will put Florida ahead of us now. How does a 7-5 Florida out recruit a 10-2 team going to the playoffs? I think we’ve only out recruited them one year yet we’ve gone 30-8 in the last 3 years…

Gee, I guess Sun Bet Billy hasn’t been too focused on the Union Home Mortgage Bowl. Hope they don’t get blown out by Tulane tomorrow in their mid-December bowl game.

Someone smarter than me answer this. What is preventing college athletes from having unlimited eligibility? How does eligibility running out not cause some form of antitrust/legal issue? Since the players are basically employees or profiting form endorsements how can they just tell them they’re done playing after 4 years? I think Pavias case opens a can of worms.
The people that think they’re smarter than you… aren’t.

You are exactly right, and this is the problem with antitrust analysis that essentially says that any NCAA limits on eligibility violate federal law.

Same same, no?

It's the universities still controlling. Just a new public face in front of them.

Same shiz, new day.

As long as the unis control things, they'll continue trying to push down the SAs and their interests. You can only put so much lipstick on the new pig...still the same old pig.
Why is it necessary to paint the universities as villains? Do you think Danny White and Randy Boyd are sitting in some ivory tower scheming how they can screw the SAs out of their due? I don't.

The university is more about the 40k students that pay to go there for an education, than for the few incredibly privileged athletes who get paid. And without the university, there is no team, no coach, and no venue. Changes are clearly happening, some good, some not, but meaningful change takes time.

Unlimited eligibility would be terrible. It would greatly reduce the number of kids that ever get to play.

So, he's saying Americans are xenophobes and "can't connect" 😅🤣 Wild accusation.

Meanwhile SGA, Giannis, Luka, etc are beloved. But OK. Have to remember that media guy is from the Travis Clay group of goofballs. All they do is rile up the angry gullible fratboi fanbase over sociopolitics (while claiming to be against bringing politics into sports 😅). They're truly clowning the LCDs of society. Can pretty easily ignore the tropers.
