When are you gonna realize good teams can sometimes lose. But you know what will never change? That given a large sample size a team filled with 5-stars will outperform a team filled with 3-stars. Alabama still has arguably the most talented roster in college football. It's how they beat Georgia earlier this year before losing to Vandy. Or how they steamrolled LSU in death valley before losing to Oklahoma.

Alabama could easily go on a run in the playoffs against teams with less talent than Georgia and LSU.

Huge missed opportunity for the committee to showcase a playoff game in Neyland. You couldn’t find a more electric atmosphere.

Not the committee's job or their interest.

They aren't in the media and aren't motivated by tv ratings or popularity contests, and to be fair, they shouldn't lol.
