Which Alabama team are we talking about. The one that got beat by Vanderbilt and slaughtered by Oklahoma or the one that beat Georgia? I had to check and make sure I was in the Volnation recruiting forum and not the football forum. College teams play at different levels throughout the season all the time especially after long layoffs (3 weeks). Alabama and Ole Miss had easy opportunities to qualify on the field late in the season and failed. I just can’t believe everyone is carrying water for them on Volnation. I hate Alabama.

You are correct but Alabama and Ole Miss with 2 losses each knew they just had to win their last 2 games and they would be in the playoffs. They both lost one of those in effect play in games and as a result get to watch from the couch. We were in the exact same position and won so we were rewarded with a spot. Seems fair to me. We were also celebrating them being left out and now everyone is arguing they should be in. I’m hoping it’s just the liquor talking. Alabama got beat on the road by Vandy and got slaughtered by Oklahoma but would kill Notre Dame on the road . Make it make sense.

I'll make it make sense to you...some of are observant enough to realize that what happens to them can happen to us. We also know that the SEC is the vastly more talented top to bottom conference and that a 5-3 SEC record in the NIL age is going to happen to more and more teams...including us.

In other words...what happened to them is going to happen to us...and it is really going to piss me off watching teams with gaudy bloated 1-2 loss records built on beating a creampuff schedule play in the playoffs while we sit at home

The SEC and the B1G may be the same talent wise at the top 2-3 teams...but the drop-off is shocking after that.

Really solid win for sure. I live right by University of Richmond (wife is a graduate), and they played Texas tough at home last weekend. Unfortunately, turnovers crushed them.

Well said. The problem is scheduling is way too unbalanced. Texas had a schedule like Indiana but everyone is fine with that because they are a blue blood.

That's because Texas is actually loaded with NFL talent
