Recruiting Football Talk VIII

College football postseason by and large sucks.

Regular season >>>> CFP.

Bring me back old bowl seasons and BCS. The controversy is better than this CFP product.

Or just form a power league for goodness sakes.
Wrong. The vols are currently in the hunt for a championship. With the BCS we would be in the Citrus Bowl.

I f'n hate it

All the blueblood power conference are gonna have a field day with Indiana and SMU 🙄

Great, yeah can't wait to see more 9-3 SEC teams in the playoff and make everyone outside of the BIG and SEC completely irrelevant. Wow yay that'll be sooo great for the sport guys.

SMU is losing because their quarterback. PERIOD. The difference between these teams is not 31-3. Literally if any QB on any team threw two pick 6's and another int they'd be getting killed like this.

Please god have a miraculous comeback.

I agree with all that, so why are you even arguing with me for?

Are you trying to convince yourself that our game is an easy win because of all that crap you said?

We can win, but there is going to be nothing easy about it.
Lol, I didn't realize we were arguing. 😅

My only point was OSU isn't all that and a bag of cheetos. They do have the most expensive roster so they have talent. But, a team full of hired mercenaries doesn't necessarily make a great team. It will be a tough game. We could very well lose.

I don’t think Indiana is a good team and never ever thought they were a legitimate contender. I just think under the current system they deserved a chance to prove it on the field. I am not a fan of the eye test and bias of assuming the same teams with the best recruiting rankings should be in the playoffs. Everyone has bitched all year about favoring the same teams and now everyone is arguing that’s what we should do. I just don’t see any team that didn’t get in the playoffs that had a better Resume or legitimately deserved a chance. I see a bunch of teams that could have gotten drilled by Notre Dame on the road because they actually did get drilled in actual games by teams that are worse. Too answer the question I believe Indiana is 6-6 or 7-5 with Floridas schedule. For the record I think they could beat SMU.
I didn't...they got beat by the only team worth half a 💩 that they played.

Ohio State has historically thrived on weaker schedules, often facing teams like Purdue, Indiana, and Iowa. The Big Ten has generally been a two-team league. On the other hand, Tennessee has faced tougher competition, and I believe that will be an advantage tonight.
That is the modus operandi of the committee
