Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I just saw the Squirrel news..

This is simple..he wants a raise and has way too many drops and misplays on the ball to get what he wants. Somebody else offered him a bigger bag to jump ship...so he is leaving.

I loved the kid and this sucks...but you gotta look at this from the management position...why give him a bunch of money from what is obvious a limited budget, when you can get his production from somebody at a lower level school for cheaper?

This is the 💩ty mercenary faithless heartless world of CFB now...ain't it great!!??

We are the ones that make all of this possible...and we are ultimately the ones that get 💩 on by everybody.

Didn't come to argue...just to give my thoughts.

So we gave Boo squirrel's money and playing time?
I hate to see Squirrel go. He was hurt this year and it showed but when healthy he was really good. Lead the team in receiving by a wide margin last year. He’s top 20 in all time receiving yards and could have easily been top five with a year close to last year. He was tough and kept going on the field and giving his all even though he was clearly hurt. Boo shows some promise but assuming he’s an upgrade from a healthy Squirrel seems a little premature to my eyes. Heupel sees them everyday and I trust him to do what is best. I just wish Squirrel could have finished a Vol and had a healthy senior season.

Jayson Swain
Robert Meacham
Bret Smith
James Banks
Chris Hannon
C.J. Fayton

Jayson Swain’s WR squad was as good top to bottom as it’s been. All better than what we had this year.
im never ever ever going to forget that time james banks fell down at the snap, got back up, and caught like a 6 yard pass
