I'd probably kick @TN-POSSUM in the junk if I had to watch squirrel jump to catch a perfectly thrown ball again. . . but, that's something that can be coached out. . . makes me wonder if we have an issue at wr coach, or maybe squirrel didn't listen to the coaching and it was easy to let him leave.

I don’t expect Boo to be Travis Hunter 2.0 next year but he honestly might be better than what we’ve gotten out of that WR room this year which isn’t saying much so I say screw it if he wants to make fools of our WRs then let him

Maybe the perception of a DB coming in and making an ass out of them will make them (WRs) perform better lol

Seriously though if we don’t raid the portal for some dogs at WR and Oline before next year we are toast.

The gulf between the top 5 programs and the rest in football is immense. That’s not the case in basketball or baseball. To pretend we’re even close to the rosters of OSU, UGA, Texas, etc is laughable. We witnessed proof that were not last week.

Convert any of the red zone opps we had
Don't try to block the Punt.

And, play defense...just once.

And we are hosting Indiana at Neyland. Likely in the top 8. Does that make us elite?

The WR room is the weakest I’ve seen it in a long time.

The question now is can Boo pick up the offensive and defensive playbook? I’ve heard that was what was holding him back early on.

Considering on many plays one entire side of the offense at wr are just decoys that never run an actual route he should be fine. My guess is we have a few packages with designed plays for him.

We’re not elite in football. Swain said that on his show today and he played. I’ll trust his opinion over yours.

I'm not saying we are elite by any means...but how would he know about elite? The program went 24-13 during his 3 years here. Hell...Squirrel had a better career then him. He would know nothing about being elite.

We will be elite when we rack up 4 or 5 top 5 recruiting classes on a near annual basis. I think we need to upgrade our staff and NIL package for that to happen though.

We are close, but still top of second tier.
