Would y’all be willing to sacrifice our Basketball and Baseball programs success in exchange for more money for football?

Considering that, would more money for football NIL even result in more success? At some point, diminishing returns have to come into play imo.

Idk. Just thinking of different possibilities.

I love our other major sports being great right now and if I’m being honest I wouldn’t give them up for a few more big name players a year in football that would probably transfer out at the first opportunity anyway.

All I know is, we need a new Oline this offseason and if that doesn’t happen then I’m not sure we ever get over this “playoff-contention” jump that we’re in.

And for anyone who keeps pointing out DSamp’s stats this year to highlight our Olines success, I personally feel that it his success says a lot more about him than it does the line. They were average run blockers and piss poor pass blockers. Just my 2c.

If I say yes, does Tony V leave? If so, then absolutely not. That man is a treasure.

Either way, it’s a good sign. I just looked it up.

I’m intrigued by this. Why would one enter the transfer portal if they don’t want others to contact them? If the goal is to move to another, better program and/or get more money, wouldn’t you want to hear all the offers?

I’m probably reaching, and most likely had to do with Boo, but I find it interesting this tidbit of info about Branch comes out AFTER Squirrel enters the portal.

That along with the fact that he had to reach out to us first since he had the do not contact tag.

Even with the gheytors stealing a 5* WR at the last second, Oregon’s 2025 recruiting class was absolutely ridiculous. They landed 2 of the top 3 CBs, and had 2 of the top 3 WRs also til Flarda stole one. All of them 5* of course. The whole class is bigshot top 300 players man. Phil Knight said he is gonna buy a Championship for them before he dies, at 80yo, and he means it. If they dont win at least one title in the next 3 years...its the biggest choke job ever. Might win it this year. I read where Knight personally signs off on every NIL deal and said their plan is to outbid any competitors for the kids they want. It was basically a middle finger to everyone else. They are blowing big $$$ in the portal right now too. I think Knight is going all out before Congress can put restrictions in place. They will likely be better next season than now.

Also...screw Oregon. We beat them out for Brahme so for at least some kids money isnt everything.
