Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Not a terrible price for Michters toasted honestly
You're just being nice. $69 for Stagg Jr?! I keep telling myself it's only money and life is short so enjoy myself, but that just kills me. Why did I ever move to a board controlled state? I walked into a GA liquor store and my eyes lit up. Reminded me of the variety I left behind when I moved. Although, the prices on what I can get at home in NC were actually lower than GA. Should have stuck to my guns and moved back to TN or out west.

image.jpgThose talking bourbon and whiskey need to head to Lost State Distillery on Bristol and pick up TN’s newest official Tennessee Whiskey. This is one of the smoothest whiskeys I’ve ever had, and if you’re not into whiskey, their bourbons and gin are just as great.

That’s the main thing people are talking about. It’s not depth, talent gap, NIL, it’s play calling and the use of what seems like the same 12-15 plays.

You can overcome talent gaps with scheme a lot of times. But for some reason this year and last, play calling has been a huge question mark.

Going to have to get back to doing what CH does best and that’s finds mismatch’s.

Seems like everyone wasn’t on the same page this year and last and that could be attributed to not having the right personnel, but that ultimately falls on the coaches to find that chemistry. If you don’t have the talent in certain groups you can overcome some of those deficiencies with schemes.

Honestly I don’t know what the problem has been the last two years. Did we have more talent in ‘22 compared to ‘23/24? Some will say NO, some will say yes.

Is that attributable to lack of development?

Regardless of what everyone’s response is or opinions we have still won a lot of games.

Anyways, this is my current situation. Y’all enjoy your weekend. I’m gonna try and do the same. View attachment 709890
The main reason, IMO. Hendon Hooker

Yeah man we sell Stagg at 69.99 but of course it’s not available very often

Haha im a definitely snob with tequila (don’t judge) but Midtown Corkdorks, Frugal (gulch), Sinkers (east), Reds (Bellevue) SHOULD have every one of those

I’m assuming you prefer reposado based on those 2 brands?
Used to live in Bellevue and had a buddy who worked at Reds - that’s a good store.

Yeah I prefer reposado to blanco…usually like anejo the best when it’s worth the price diff.

You like TX bourbon? The ones I’ve had have been too leathery
I live in TX. Some distilleries are good…some so-so…some not so good.

Ironroot does their brand and the Saints Alley brand. Good stuff.

Garrison Brothers has really good stuff…but overpriced.

1894 is newer but good.

Balcones used to be good but sold out to Diagio. I’ll pass on their stuff.

Others are hit-n-miss. Hits are mediocre.

Nice, thanks for the recs - gonna keep an eye out for those. You said “we” on another post - you run a shop? If so shoot me a dm if you don’t wanna go public and I’ll come buy one from you haha
