Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Jerod Mayo was jobbed by the Pats. Inherited a mess left by Bill, and they only give him one year? If they hire Vrabel, I hope he fails miserably.
Apparently it was in Mayo’s contract when they hired him that he would be the next hc when Belicheck left, and that’s why he was the hc this year. I guess Kraft thought he met those obligations and wanted a different hc

Watch at least the first 5-6 minutes...

(Portal)
"Relax."
"We don't snap a ball for 8-9 months."
"[We] don't get paid to work in that building. The ultimate thing, I have trust in the coach."
"If you're freaking out, it's because you don't trust the coaches."
Per portal: "Stop to ask, 'Do I trust Josh Heupel?' If you don't, go ahead. You should be freaking out if you don't trust him. But if you trust him, you should have no weight on your shoulders."

It genuinely feels like that win yesterday was a bridge too far. I think he was supposed to find a way to lose. It came way to fast after that for it not to he a knee jerk.

Here’s Wright against the NFL Defensive Roolie of the Year. Never touches Hooker in 4 quarters.

Noticed so many of Hooker's throws were in muddy, tight pockets where the D is within arms length of grabbing him. He stays in the pocket, creates room by stepping up or resets his feet.
This year,Nico saw ghosts(rightfully so) and started to bail early. We need to buy, build, develop our OLine so that Nico can trust his pocket and keep his eyes down field.
Also,Wright is a MONSTER hanging out by himself.

Perfect world Titans trade down, pickup a pick 8-15 range and an extra pick or two later in draft. Get best available at your pick, either pass rusher, OL or QB.

Sanders could be worth a #1 pick, but behind a bad OL would be wasted.
I think Cam Ward might be a top pick but Titans have so many deficiencies we need all the picks we can get.
Please Titans, don't screw this up

Mayo was an utterly terrible hire to begin with. The Krafts recognized their mistake and course corrected.

Vrabel will do well there. Dry your tears.
Mayo wasn't given a real chance. Pats suck as an organization, so he's probably better off. I doubt anyone will do well there for a while. And I'll be laughing. Pats fans will be the ones wailing.

The Pats team is terrible from a talent standpoint and were gonna have a bad season no matter who was on the sideline.

Mayo was also terrible and clearly not ready for the job. Dude has never even been a coordinator.

Huge fan of Mayo as a player and hope he gets another shot in the future, but he needs another 3-5 years of experience under someone other than Belichik, whose coaches have almost universally been flops when given head coaching jobs.

Odds of the Titans getting a draft right or Patriots regrouping in a year with a new coach.

The Titans are going to make a phone call to trade up, and the phone on the desk next to them is going to start ringing

Don't jump on me here but if Ekeler leaves does that give Coach Chop an on field role?
Other teams: Let's bring in best coaches with new ideas, that address our teams deficiencies.

Tennessee: Let's offload our best coaches.

Other teams: Ok, that's...a strategy.

Um, what about the vacant spots?

Tennessee: Those spots, I wouldnt worry about those spots. I know a guy, down in room 1B.
