Eventually he got better with experience and closed the season strong.

If our receivers were 2022 good I'd be cool with bringing Mike Matthews along slowly. But we struggled at receiver this year and dealt with injuries. To me that's when you accelerate the growth process for a young guy rather than getting hung up on if he's ready. He's a freshman. He's not supposed to be ready. But if he's talented he can still help you. And that's what good coaches bank on. The young player giving you more good than bad.

There is always the possibility that our coaches thought the current receivers would magically get better and they wanted to redshirt Matthews. This would be really stupid.

I dunno if it’s expiring or not but you have to make a legit change at WR coach. Since Pope has been there our production has been terrible.

Nate couldn’t get 500 yards in a season at Lipscomb High, can’t believe he’s even upset about not playing. Once he goes MTSU or UT-Martin and doesn’t play there I’m sure he’ll have a hot take about that coach also. Truth be told I bet the combo of Webb/Nimrod/Squirrel is salty at the younger higher rated kids coming in with the icy chains and Mercedes already. That’s why they teach you to never pocket watch and just focus on your plate. It’s a marathon not a race, kids are so short sighted and surrounded by vultures. If I’m Pope I’m not going to the head coach and standing on the table for those 3 to get raises, the production/potential is just not that great. They probably overpaid, you can give me half the 100k or so Nimrod and Webb made and I’ll go out and give you untimely drops in crucial situations.

My neighbors built a damn chicken coop between our houses and right up against our shared fence. Never had flea problems and now my yard is crawling with them and possibly other parasites. We live in a pretty large typical suburban neighborhood with houses 20-30 feet apart and yards total about 1 acre between front and back. Kinda annoying.

I can literally hear hens clucking nonstop right now as I'm in my bathroom. A relative told me to call the county enforcement on them but that's not my style. They are good people and do give us fresh eggs from time to time also.

Players generally don’t know what best for them. They all pretty move love their position coach no matter who it is.

Players loved Dooley for goodness sake.
