At first he was, yes. When the Schiano hire that Haslam wanted fell through, Currie started doing his own thing for several days, which was when they called him back and fired him.He was doing exactly what the Haslam’s (and Bev) wanted him to do. He got fired because Bev had no idea where he was. Bev got heat because he was incompetent at hiring a coach. She eventually went away too.
Thanks.Man what about @tonybologna
Must be @Shiny Sparkles.Who is SS?
Might they just be piggy backing off Richard G West post?
I was on coacht.com checking high school football scores '23 season and there was one update provided by a user with that name.Man what about @tonybologna
I feel it’s okay to @ him since he is no longer allowed in the RF @Orange defense. If I’m wrong forgive me, I’m tired. Work, yada, yada….Speaking of the old grumor days. Who was the poster from Dyersburg that got mad because TN didn't land Chris Russell. And something about buying him pizza.

Currie's time at Tennessee certainly won't be mentioned in any textbooks as a fine example of being an AD, but he was set up to fail. He had an impossible job with that football hire because the initial decision(s) really weren't his, and when those blew up that made it so much harder to conduct an actual search.
@Weezer ate some bad dog meat again didn't he?There are several “newbies” striking matches in the RF today……

He got fired because he was the fall guy for what had become a laughing stock of the sports world for upwards of 2-3 weeks. That search needs its own 30 for 30.He was doing exactly what the Haslam’s (and Bev) wanted him to do. He got fired because Bev had no idea where he was. Think I met her at the a girls of Glitter Gulch on the Vegas stripMust be @Shiny Sparkles.
He was called back and fired because he went off script. If you trust your AD to do his job, you don't flip your lid during a 6-hour Wifi outage on a plane and tell him to come back during a coaching search. He went AWOL.
