No, but you can recruit guys like that if you have a rep for developing guys and putting them in the league. Point being, if we got the WR coach from USC, a lot more of those blue chip types will take notice. #1 D linemen in the portal is checking us out. Sure that has plenty to due with $, but most of these programs are offering similar amounts for top shelf guys. The difference is Garner.

As much as I want to agree, I just have this odd feeling OSU chokes and it’s closer than it needs to be. Then we have to heat obnoxious Texas fans talk about it for a week.

Texas will defend the edge on the run and has muuucchh better players in its secondary. Those Buckeye WRs are something else, but I think Texas has a better shot of forcing Howard to make perfect throws. OSU attacked #5 for Oregon all night and I don’t think he ever made a play.

Same can be said about the best state in the union, Tennessee, but I’m very biased. I’ve lived all over the southern states and a few in yankee country and lived out of the country for a bit. When it came time for me to raise my child, I chose God’s country. Yes I know that wasn’t what you were posting about, but I just had to throw that up. On a side note. When I was 12 to 15, crap was a way of life for me. I swore I’d leave Tennessee the first chance I got and never look back. Blah, blah…I did at age 16 and bounced awhile with my family. When we were living in Jamaica at the time, I got bored (idiot ), went to college. I still wasn’t happy so that’s when I ended up in the Navy. Blah blah, living in Arkansas with my husband and pregnant, I wanted to go back home to live and raise my son. That’s how ole ORB ended back up here. Sorry, long winded. It sure is great to see you post again. Please stay.

That said, there are some very pretty areas of Tennessee, mosltly in ET. Also some very flat and boring areas. But not the level of diversity overall.

Agree with McGill, the diversity out west is astounding. Also the advantage of being a huge (geographically) state, CA. You have the massive coastline, you have southern parts bordering Mexico, northern parts 15 hours away well in the pacific woods bordering Oregon, massive deserts, Tahoe, Redwoods, Yosemite, beautiful rugged mountains, just a bit of everything.

And the western mountains do hit differently. So big and astounding. Mount Whitney...the face at El Capitan, just nothing like the eastern ridges, which are beautiful in their own ways.

And yet we at least went into Q3 within 11. They were lucky to only be down 26

Oregon didn't even threaten at any point. Just total domination for 60 minutes.

Correct. ASU got soo many things their way. It was embarrassing. But, refs just suck. Humans shouldn't be doing this job, if better than 90% accuracy is being asked, which it is.

I could be totally wrong because perspective changes things, and I was admittedly pulling for ASU...

But at least 4 of those penalties were false starts on Texas...which isnt a judgment call by the ref its just a penalty that can usually be overcome.

That no call on the targeting helmet to helmet hit on 3rd down in regulation killed ASU though. I thought that was obviously targeting. Would have been 1st down at the Texas 40yd line with 50 something seconds left and 1 timeout. This game should have never gone to OT. Texas lost this game when they missed the 2nd consecutive FG and then committed that Targeting penalty IMO. If we were ASU fans we would be livid...and eliminated lol.

There may have been other bad calls though bro. I didnt watch every snap bc I was posting here too. There were lots of missed Holding and PI calls though. Refs let the offensive lines get away with murder both ways IMO

I’m so far behind I’ll never get caught up lol so sorry if already posted but if anybody wants good seats to the Ark game Saturday there are some sweet lower levels section 113 for $139 each on Ticketmaster. I grabbed 4. I go to 2 or 3 conference games a year and typically pay a helluva lot more than this for seats close to the floor. pretty sure these are student tix not being used

Oregon gonna have to fahr everyone this week. There coaches suck. Am I doing this right? OSU Is a professional team masquerading as a college team. Oregon got them on a neutral field. We had to play them at the shoe. Nick Saban, Vince Lombardi and Jimmy Johnson couldn’t have coached Tennessee to a victory against OSU.

It was reported the teams wanted to get out and done earlier for next week. Orange Bowl is next Thursday night. I’m sure they will head home tomorrow night when they would normally go the next day.

On-campus apartment that was used as an adulterous sex den for most of the coaches on Kiffin's staff to hook up with co-eds (pretty sure that was true). Lots of other crazy Coach Yaw-Yaw (Orgeron) stories too....especially him getting shirtless and challenging players to fights (also probably true).
