Recruiting Football Talk VIII

I’ve got my issues with Banks like all the others on here, but I’m not convinced letting him walk is the best avenue for success given the current concerns on the offensive side of the ball.
I think Inge was brought in anticipating that Banks wouldn’t be here much longer.

LOL Why would he take a lateral job? He's had a contract on his desk for months. Weird
Fanbase rakes his name through the coals every game even with the recent success we’ve had in the defensive side. Eventually you’re gonna get tired of that and, for the right amount of money, peace out.

Ive only fired him two or maybe 7 times.

Why cant Ellarbee or Pope take his lead?

Haha! Well that’s because those two deserve the coal raking and know they won’t get hired at another major program. I have concerns with Banks, but I’m not of the camp he’s the most glaring coaching issue.

So as it turns out we ARE one of the best teams in the country and we ARE on track to continue that trajectory.

We just ran into a buzzsaw of the most talented team in the country pissed off about Michigan hiking their leg over OSU's brutalized bodies in the Shoe.

Go Vols.

42-17 in the Shoe in 20 degrees after losing the SEC POY on the 2nd play is not objectively worse than 41-21 in the Rose Bowl.
We'll need to find some good WRs and hope for better pass blocking next season if we're going to "continue that trajectory".

What does it say about us when reporters act like becoming the DC of an ACC team would be a "step up"? FFS, he's supposedly in the running for both Miami and Clemson? Are we really that undesirable a place to be?? This **** pisses me off.

We’ve had our own player families openly tweet at us to basically calm down and STFU. That should tell you something about what it’s like to coach here.

Well if you're comparing anything to Arkansas...😅🤣

That said, there are some very pretty areas of Tennessee, mosltly in ET. Also some very flat and boring areas. But not the level of diversity overall.

Agree with McGill, the diversity out west is astounding. Also the advantage of being a huge (geographically) state, CA. You have the massive coastline, you have southern parts bordering Mexico, northern parts 15 hours away well in the pacific woods bordering Oregon, massive deserts, Tahoe, Redwoods, Yosemite, beautiful rugged mountains, just a bit of everything.

And the western mountains do hit differently. So big and astounding. Mount Whitney...the face at El Capitan, just nothing like the eastern ridges, which are beautiful in their own ways.
I’m good and have no desire and will enjoy pictures of other places. I know I’m probably missing out, but I’ve seen a small part of our world and I’m done (for now). I’m going to and do enjoy my grandchildren and when the time is right for them, I’ll enjoy sharing with them whatever or wherever I show them. God is great in that he has afforded me opportunity to experience many places and cultures.

Edit: I forgot to reply about Arkansas. There’s nothing good I can say about that place besides my son was born there. Sorry to ones that live there. I hated my time there.
