Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Agree except I don’t think the football team went through anything bad except losing in the playoff
In a game we were easily expected to lose in...we only had a 27% chance to win...

Don't get what's been so bad, but I guess some think the transfer-outs are bad, I just don't see major names and there will always be transfer-ins, they'll just come much later, so eh.

Color me unmoved by it all. I just see consistent progression and 10 win seasons over the last 3 years.

I have a hard time not being giddy over UT sports rn. We are #blessed 😅

That is an amazing mountain range. Of the 4 summers when my Dad was stationed at Hill AFB in Utah, we went to Yellowstone for a couple weeks, went all through the Tetons, spent time in Montana and Wyoming etc. Thankful to have been to some of the most beautiful mountains and places in this country. We went to many of the places featured in Ansel Adams photos long ago. Now that I am a grown man myself, I appreciate much more all the planning, effort, time, patience etc he put into those trips. He was a good man by all accounts. My Dad fell walking across the yard on Monday morning. At 3AM Sunday the day prior we had learned of my brothers demise. When taken to the hospital, we learned the reason my Dad fell was a tumor on his spine near the bottom. He never came back from the hospital, he died 9 weeks later as the cancer was extremely aggressive and spread everywhere. I stood in for my Dad at my little brothers funeral at Fort Griffith in GA. The only thing my Dad ever cried about while cancer riddled his body was being unable to attend Elijahs funeral. He was tough, and brave. I spoke of his bravery in his eulogy, and he received military honors at his funeral as did my Pappaw and Eli. They all died in the last 5 years. Its been really hard on my family.
The Tetons are incredible.

A lot of SEC squads that had promising non-conference performances are getting a big dose of reality today.

My guess is every team in the league will take some of that medicine before too long.
Tennessee goes 14-4 in league play was my prediction earlier.

As long as Tennessee plays defense like they do, they have a shot to win every game.

Got some allergies kicking up reading this post. What a blessing to have that memory with your family like that. Makes the memories that much sweeter when they’re gone.

Our family trip to Utah this past fall was one I know our daughters will always carry with them. I want to do all I can to make more of those memories happen while I still have time on this earth.

My condolences and best wishes to you and your family. I'm glad that trip is such a beautiful memory.

That's awesome brother. Have an Ansel on the wall.

Good gracious............This brings back memories.

And I'm old.........

I remember my friends and I thinking he would be the greatest running back of all time from his highschool film. He would make everyone on the defense miss... twice... frequently. It was insane to watch.
