Mike Keith didn't want to take anything away from or intrude on Kessling because he has a deep admiration for and respect for the man.

That's what kept him from it IMO.

Great interview - thanks for sharing. Pretty awesome at the end when Hubbs asks him what his Dad would think of this. As a new father who can't wait to take his son to Vols games it really hit me.

I have to confess I really didn't care for Mike Keith when he first started with the Titans. I thought his delivery was fake and his excitement didn't seem genuine. I think he's really grown as a play-by-play guy. I'm tickled he's coming home.

I hardly even pay attention to announcers unless they’re really into it (Gus Johnson for example). Other than that, they’re just there for some informational nuggets throughout the game.

There’s no better person to be the voice of the Titans for a quarter century and then the Voice of the Vols than Mike Keith. Nashville native, UT graduate and he’s only 57 so he could be here quite awhile. He’s outstanding. If you’re a Tennessean you know who Mike Keith is.
