Recruiting Football Talk VIII

My opinion is that since you already own it, you should open it, try without someone else's tainted or pretentious opinion and see if you enjoy it.
Then circle back to see what people liked/didn't like about it (tasting notes, etc) to help in refining your own palette.

Bourbon is subjective. I HATE Weller but others love it. I LOVE Four Roses Small Batch Select while others are like it but are less enthused. Like what you like.

Enjoy the dram!!

Appreciate it sir. That is what I usually do, but since this was a new one that I haven't had before, was just curious what other's thought. Bourbon definitely is subjective indeed. I usually stay on the lowerish price end mostly ($60.00 and below), but have seen many of you suggest others, so trying to expand my palette. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Wilkerson is one of the reasons baseball has been so enjoyable, in spite of their not-so-long-ago dark ages.
I never got to listen to John Ward growing up, so I've only been able to enjoy highlights and replays.
I'm also not a Titans fan, so I've never listened to Keith. Clearly the enthusiasm and passion is there.

I really recommend his interview with Hubbs, if you haven't seen it.

Mike's highlights show how much his style is starkly in constrast to Bob's. It'll be nice to have something enjoyable to listen to instead of the TV broadcast for football. Bob wasn't as bad with basketball, although that might've been moreso Bert rubbing off. Bob never elicited much joy in either.

In the Hubbs interview, Mike stressed his focus of first getting an accurate representation of the game in all facets before creating the environment (a la Ward). When I heard that, I laughed. It felt like he was taking a direct shot. Bob went ages without sharing the score or time or situation. Plus the mispronunciations and flat out wrong players being named.

On to oranger pastures, morans!

I turn down the tv and listen to the radio now, with Bob. First, I don't hate Bob like many on here do. Second, I would prefer my mother-in law doing the play-by-play to Vern and Gary and it is even worse now with Herbstreit and Fowler. Those two make me want to harm myself.

Gary Danielson is an embarrassment to sports in general and football specifically. Never, ever has an announcer slobbed on the knob of Saban AND Kirby so much...he didnt even try to appear impartial during our games. Was just blatantly begging for Bama, UGA, and even Flarda to beat the VOLS. Unbearable. Truly unbearable. Dude needs to come on out of the closet. A blind man could see him pining over Saban like he was a teenage girl...

*Not that there's anything wrong with that

The problem is radio is way ahead of TV for me.
Vol Network needs to come out with an app that allows anyone to manually sync their broadcast to whatever TV stream people are using. I never listed to Kesling call a game, I will listen to Keith and the ability the sync would be great.

I have a friend that loves it. It's his staple. He lives in Florida in the winter and he tells me that they have it in the 1.75 and it's like $30.
