Recruiting Football Talk VIII

You can be good and still feel like it’s still not enough. And even though that feeling doesn’t feel good it’s what drives you to get better and eventually become great.

I’m glad that the fanbase isn’t satisfied with winning 30 games in the past 3 years because good can absolutely be the enemy of great. So don’t accept anything less than great my friends, you deserve it just as much as the rest of our fanbase.
I see you read the basketball article today---why not just copy and paste

It’s funny that each generation is ultimately griping about their own ability as parents. Who’s ultimately responsible for teaching and training the next generation? Basically you’re saying I failed as a parent but it’s the lazy kids fault for not figuring it out on their own. The cycle continues.
At some point, we should all reach a point when we realize that no one has parenting figured out and no one ever will. Not to say we shouldn’t be present and make every effort, but we do become less judgmental about the way others parent (or the way our parents patented).

But that’s a bit tangential to your point. Yes, you’re correct. The cycle continues.

Lmao thats crazy. Newborns cant even really support their heads at birth and have soft spots on top of their skulls. Not gonna go for the "dribble and flip into the net" method of delivery for my extremely vulnerable offspring. Not knocking the guy for thinking "outside the box" though. Thats how advancements are made. 😄
Outside the "box"---now, that's good :) :) :)

Lots of Floridians are moving to Chattanooga or Tennessee in general too and North Carolina too. The two more hurricanes this year and the unaffordable home owners insurance issue is the final straw and Floridians or people who moved to Florida during covid are getting out and leaving the state and moving in large numbers to both Tennessee and North Carolina and somewhat South Carolina but not Georgia for some reason according to our local news.

I think your right, you will see HS football get even better with more talent from people moving to Tennessee in droves. Kind of like after Katrina, lots of people from Louisiana moved to Tennessee and HS football and talent got better.
Living in Tampa Bay Area, it’s gotten so crowded and the hurricanes devastated the beaches. Planning on moving next year to somewhere between St Simons Island and Wilmington. Anyone got knowledge about Beaufort SC?

Idk what % Brady owns, but hard to believe (at least to me ) he would sign off on Deion and Shedeur.
You're forgetting about Shilo. Sanders has said the only way he would have an interest being a head coach in the NFL, is if he could coach both of his sons.

Will any owner bow to that request with Sanders?

My response had nothing to do with how the game was called tonight. The subject was Pat Adams. If you know college basketball, you know he’s bad. Some nights, maybe he’s average. But he’s proven it over time.
The nothing to see here naysayers about the truth of officiating always amaze me. Either they have been officials themselves and are defensive, or, they are people who always want to take the other side in a discussion or argument.

Just like Teddy Showtime was; Pat Adams and Doug Shows along with their crews are legends at being inconsistent, call it even if it did not happen, ignore it if it serves your purpose - type officiating. The UF game was made worse by Shows and crew even though we did not have it that night.

Some people just say they do head scratching calls at times to be nice. That is not what happens. There is method to their madness each and every season.

"Deserve" is a massively overused word. When you are constantly looking for happiness in the future, you will never actually have it. So, perhaps we each get what we "deserve".

Happy Sunday

January 12, 2025: Beloved, it is God's desire that you would reach a level of being habitually conscious of the Holy Spirit. That is to walk and live in the Spirit and never deviate from being one with the Lord. This will take deliberate effort and determination in the beginning, but if you persist it will become as natural as breathing. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.

That is not enough. 3 baskets a game will not change the way the other teams defend him. He needs to be in double digits to make the other team gaurd him. At least try and draw fouls and get to the line.
He was aggressive in the first half last night. The offense got production from Dubar and ZZ in the second half, and he wasn’t needed.

Yep. Since Ellen bought Twitter, the algorithm has been 🗑
Most of twitter is just fear porn and rage engagement. Plus, you have a ton of Vol accounts tweeting racist memes and other garbage. Anyone who says something gets shouted down as not being able to take a joke. Then when you give them the business, they get sensitive.
Social media is just a hate and porn circle jerk, no matter the site.
Who is ellen?

I don’t agree with 20% on these deals but I can understand higher %s because often times the players who get larger NIL deals are only at that given school for 1-3 years. Not like a pro contract that can be +/- 5yrs depending on the sport with massively larger numbers.
That makes no sense---a percentage of a contract is just that. It doesn't have anything to do with the length of the contract. Once the contract is up, the agent negotiates the next contract---for a percentage

The longer the contract, the longer they get a % from that contract == more money and relatively passive income from your time in negotiations?
