I just can’t see those 2 Texas sized egos co-existingI'm actually okay with Cowboys hiring Deion Sanders as HC. Deion can't be no worse than Mr. 8-8 Jason Garrett was or Dave Campo from the late 90's .
Hire Deion, restructure Dak's contract and draft Shedeur and let him sit for 1 year and then trade Dak ...
Rather have Travis Hunter to team up with Cee Dee Lamb on offensive side of ball. Dallas has 3 adequate CB's under contract.....
What a wonderful picture of the failures of both extremes. Fully socialist revenue sharing vs fully capitalist NIL. At one extreme we get the women's rowing team receiving the same amount as your starting QB, and at the other extreme the girls get $0 while the QB gets $3M a year. Surely we can find some middle ground that recognizes that while we are all equal before God and the Law, we do not all equally contribute to the end result. A living wage is reasonable for all, but some are simply more important and should be paid more. Not an easy problem, I don't envy those who have to work this out.But I think that is what this is referring to. It’s a part of the House settlement that is about to bring revenue sharing to college athletics. My reading is that this is basically going to require the $20 million pot that schools divide up to now be equally distributed, but yes all the standard NIL stuff won’t change.
If the women's rowing team are bringing in income, they are entitled to a portion. If they are not, it's a hobby. What a wonderful picture of the failures of both extremes. I don't disagree, but that doesn't sound like where we're headed. I'm not sure the total number of SAs, so $20M may get diluted enough that it may end up little more than a stipend. However, if it were apportioned based on a pro rata share of the revenue of your sport, that might create some real tension. Imagine if the football team is getting six figures each and the rowing gals get a gift certificate to Starbucks. Surely no one would get upset about that?!? Right? If the women's rowing team are bringing in income, they are entitled to a portion. If they are not, it's a hobby.
The employee, who asked to remain anonymous over fear of retaliation, accused Green of kissing her and trying to put his hand down her pants in the athletics facilities in March of 2024, the report said. The complaint also says that when the employee pulled Green's hand away and said no, he tried again, and she was able to get away from Green after.
Furthermore, the employee did not report the alleged encounter immediately, she told ESPN, due to Green's status as a two-time national champion as a former player and a current assistant coach, a position he has held since 2022.
The employee first decided to report the incident after being asked to be interviewed by Title IX investigators regarding Golden's interactions with female athletes. Golden is accused of sexual misconduct with allegations of stalking and sexual exploitation, according to a Title IX complaint filed in late September.
Saw this earlier. Entire situation is a mess and the allegations against both coaches are pretty aggressive allegations.New allegations for assistant coach in UF basketball falling out of the investigation regarding the head coach.
Report: Florida Basketball Assistant Taurean Green Accused of Sexual Assault
Green was named in a complaint filed on Tuesday by a University of Florida athletics department employee.www.si.com
The handling has been wild. Everyone is innocent until proven guilty of course, but UF also has a strong habit of never finding bad guys guilty.Saw this earlier. Entire situation is a mess and the allegations against both coaches are pretty aggressive allegations.
But you just know UF isn't going to do anything during the season. They're not going to suspend either coach during the investigation, then they're going to drag it out until the season is over because the team is good.
