LOL...you took way too much from my post, but I'm flattered that it had such an impact on you."To be fair, it doesn't help for King to keep voicing any complaints about Elerbee (Elarbee) knowing he's not going anywhere."
I find it interesting how you framed your response.......
You seem to be saying that King, and others who have critical or negative opinions/facts about the football program should just not express those opinions/facts (at least in this specific area, because, well Elarbee (Heupel's guy) isn't going anywhere. So then we should not post anything critical or negative that cuts against the status quo???
In my own experience, negative posts about the current state of TN Football (and pretty much all things related to UT sports) are met with much more criticism and ferocity than positive posts, and this board has been that way for years. When reading through the various threads, I read more positive posts than negative - but that is just my experience.
This is a board designed for engagement and discussion - I would venture to say that this "chat" board would not have grown to its current size if it was simply an echo chamber. "To each their own" I say.
I find it laughable the NCAA isn’t doing anything, especially in today’s climate and this being about sexual abuse. But hey, just don’t lie about a BBQ, amIright?Saw this earlier. Entire situation is a mess and the allegations against both coaches are pretty aggressive allegations.
But you just know UF isn't going to do anything during the season. They're not going to suspend either coach during the investigation, then they're going to drag it out until the season is over because the team is good.
What's really baffling to me is when a regular student gets an accusation like this the university investigates immediately. Sometimes they won't let that student even go to class until it's resolved. They investigate very quickly and decide if you need expulsion or probation. Many criminal charges off-campus they'll investigate and usually put you on probation.I find it laughable the NCAA isn’t doing anything, especially in today’s climate and this being about sexual abuse. Let’s just shoot it straight. If UF were looking down the barrel of a losing season, he’d be fired tomorrow. The typical double standard you see everywhere these days. It’s all about who you are or who you know or how much money is in your pocket that you’re able to dish out. What's really baffling to me is when a regular student gets an accusation like this the university investigates immediately. But a player or a coach, we see it all the time at schools like UF, *crickets*.
The Florida coaches are both internal reports as far as I can tell. No charges filed. Just internal complaints by students and employees of UF reporting to the university. So they can literally bring the parties together, review the facts of the situation and hand down a judgement within a week. Just like any HR at any business/corporation would do with employee conduct of this nature.
Whatever he says, I just know we’re bound to get more excitement about game results. I’m not sure if anyone listened to Bob’s broadcast of the bama win this year, but you’d have thought we just beat some JV squad. There was zero energy and enthusiasm.I think Mike Keith calls our next national championship in football. I hope he pays homage to John Ward and says "The national champion is clad in orange!" And I hope I am alive to experience that.
