I don’t disagree with anything you said, but that isn’t really the debate. The debate is if the system is very advantageous for the big money teams, and it is absolutely advantageous to them even if their organization makes poor decisions.I’m not one to complain about us spending less money. I also don’t disagree that the ability to spend more money is an advantage.
But, people aren’t parts. All the money doesn’t matter if your organization sucks.
Nah . Married Guys.Must be miserable, single guys.
Any of us married guys wanted to argue, we likely have a willing participant 24/7.
"If I wanted to argue, I'd call my wife."
I would rather watch "The View" than argue with strangers (or the wife).
With the conference games we have coming up - this wasn’t one to drop. Not a good loss. That still doesn’t make it an embarrassing loss. Perhaps you’re thinking this is Vandy from last year.
And if Vandy makes it then it means they played pretty well in the SEC. Which is considered the best conference in cbb this year.
As a friend so eloquently put it, "I will never not be amused by folks — especially folks that work in sports — that think their team is never supposed to lose, particularly to a worse team … Sometimes stuff happens …"

Yes it was embarrassing. We are supposed to be an elite defensive team. They made our defense look bad. We shot better than them from the field and from 3. Yet we lost to an unranked Vandy team where the kenpom ratings gap was gigantic. That still doesn’t make it an embarrassing loss. Perhaps you’re thinking this is Vandy from last year.

My point is that if your goal is to win a World Series, I don’t think the mlb system more heavily favors those teams. The seasons are too long and too weird.I don’t disagree with anything you said, but that isn’t really the debate. If organization A and organization B have equal GMs and personnel executives, but organization A has $200m a year more to spend, organization A has a clear advantage.

This doesn’t tank the season or mean anything is over. But you trying to put some positive spin on this loss is insane. We lost to an inferior team. And yes it was embarrassing. We will likely fall out of the top 10 now.
52nd at KenPom is not gigantic. That was only the 4th team to score 70+ points this year. When you play 40+ games, it happens. I swear some of you didn’t compete.Yes it was embarrassing.
