Yes, I am a a whole different level!I'm definitely behind. Not @VolsDoc81TX behind, but behind.
So are we the only team that has to beat the opponent and the officials? I know some Vol fans think so. So can you give a list of college basketball refs that aren’t terrible at their job?Shows and Adams. Not just with calls, but what should be calls. Simple as that. Year after year.
We always have to be good enough to beat both the opponent and the officials. Same as in football.
Again - I cannot get serious about basketball until the tourney. Let's see what happens in March.
I doubt the Deacon will put up with this much longer. Life is too short. Can't blame him.
With the new NCAA policy, it is possible ZZ and Mashack get another year. Both would use it if they had the option.Rick Barnes: 'I Don’t Know If I’d Still Be Doing It' Without Zakai Zeigler | Rocky Top Insider
Tennessee basketball coach Rick Barnes says he doesn't know if he would still be coaching without Zakai Zeigler.www.rockytopinsider.com
Do you think Barnes will retire next year? Or maybe get ZZ to coach with him if he doesn't make it in the NBA?
ZZ is an elite college basketball player. He has almost no chance at playing in the modern NBA. 20 years ago he might have had a chance. Could have been Muggsy Bogues. But it's just not an option with how the game is played now in the NBA. It is not the end of tune world though. He will make really good money playing overseas for a long time. The nba needs defense like ZZ has. I bet a coach tinkers with his shot and he ends up excelling. He’s too good and too tenacious to fail.
It’s a shame though. Mugsy and Spud were fan favorites. ZZ would be too if he could find a place but he does need better shooting.ZZ is an elite college basketball player. Prayer for you and your family!Hey y’all just asking for thoughts and prayers. The other half is in the ICU and on a ventilator. He has a bad case of sepsis due to a kidney stone. They did a procedure on him yesterday to help but it’s only step one. He has to get well enough to be able to have the stone removed and just placing a stent was risky. They told me he could die from complications from the procedure but that he could die from not doing it. Every lab they ran he was ridiculously low on what would be safe for intervention but doing nothing would likely damn him further because it could cause his liver failure to get so much worse even if he beats the sepsis.
