Current record of 4-4 would validate that opinion. Basketball is such a wonky sport. Regular season doesn’t mean that much as long as you make the dance. Get a good draw and get hot in the tournament and all is forgiven. I still don’t see enough offense to make a real run. Still love Rick Barnes and will cheer for them till the end.

Alabama was 25-12 overall last year and made a final 4…all about getting hot at the right time

It's not just the end of games... Offensively we don't have consistent answers. Our half court feels suck in the mud and we miss good looks when we get them.

So we wind up late in clocks and force shots sometimes.

I agree the fact that were in these games late with a chance to win says a lot. Because most of there time if I UK is shooting like that they can run, and run opponents out of a gym.

They earned pretty much everything they got... They just got too much.

Matchup wise I think their length bothered us... And we didn't dominate inn the glass.

We're not far off. But we need to find something that works offensively.

Lots of bball left. Get UF in Saturday, Mizzou next week and move on...

Odd place to stop counting isn't it? Because they're also 5 out of their last 10 trips, because the Vols won 4 straight before that. Tennessee is 4 of 10 in Lexington. Vols are 2-1 in the neutral site games during that span. Total matchup record in that span is 11-12.

Since we started playing UK twice a year and Barnes arrived, we are virtually 50/50 with Kentucky. I think each team has swept the other once.

Edit: Yes, the record is 9-9 for campus-played games since we started playing twice a year. We've swept Kentucky once and they've swept us once.

The only thing that's changed is Calipari isn't on the sideline for Kentucky. But we can get them back in Lexington even if they have a healthy roster.

I don't know what the answer is, aside from all the players just transforming into lethal shooters. I do hope they figure it out. Champ-level defense, with a head scratcher offense.

I think much of it has become mental and it's affecting their confidence. We had 21 offensive rebounds to their 10 and we still don't seem to finish

I feel the same. This game doesn’t change how I feel about Barnes. But like you, I don’t see an offense that can make it past maybe he second round.
