Recruiting Football Talk VIII

6'1"-6'2"

Arnold is very bright. Very detailed recollection, maybe even possesses a photographic memory.

An enigmatic figure with a gravitational personality. How often do successful people have THAT story? Many often said he was NEVER the biggest, strongest, or even most well liked. No one worked harder, smiled bigger, and sold himself like Arnold.

As a result...View attachment 718544
Lou Ferigno was larger than life. 6'5" 250-290.

If ever there were a life lesson and testament that power of positivity and belief in one's self (confidence), and appreciation of. Its Arnold.

Many said its these attributes that made him larger than life on stage:

great read

The Governator's well-muscled signature is on my medical school diploma. He started out as kind of a joke, but ended up being a pretty civic-minded and practical governor. I was relatively impressed at the transition.

I’m so confused by this. Are people acting as if the punishment to the body required to maintain the physique of a competitive body builder, regardless of steroids, won’t have some consequences later in life?
I dunno man. I said, he's 77. My Dad, at 80 has had some musculoskeletal issues. He took care of himself his whole life. He's 80.

12% and I would be flipping the table over 😅🤣

This is a really big jump promotion. Major corporate exposure (we are a MNC corporation to give an idea of our size). I also think they can save on my replacement, as I'm on the higher end of my current role range I believe. This will be a part of my negotiation of course.

From what I'm hearing, internal candidates tend to get screwed over in promotions and their new salary. I'm going to have to bring a strong local market argument.

And if they want to deeply lowball me, I also know plenty of jobs elsewhere in my current role and area that pay just a bit less than this new position would offer. But I tend to be a loyal employee and would prefer to grow in a new role. But I'm not going to go in scared or take the job with a low offer either. I'll walk if that's how I'm valued by them. Because I know I can do better than the previous person. Even she said that. But I hope it doesn't come to that.
Good luck.

Recent events made me realize Tennessee basketball's issues this season can be blamed on Biden's DEI initiatives. Had to give up Knecht for Lanier.

(Disclaimer: I make this joke at risk of it being taken too politically and making too much light of recent serious events. Everyone, regardless of political flavor, should at least chuckle at that I'd think... I thought it was decently clever.)

Ask for what you believe you're worth.
Agreed with this @Devo182 ^ but I'm no expert. I'm also in the applying and interview stage because I just lost the job I accepted back in September to start in January because of the new administration.

Anyway, you ask what you think you and the position is worth. They'd be more inclined to keep an employee they've had for a while I'd think. And I'd think they'd want to avoid losing you and having to train TWO new people potentially. So even if they don't hire you, they may work with you on a decent raise to keep you.
